Ok, so I've got a question about a season that just ended for me a few days ago. I'm a pretty new player (only started with the game a couple weeks ago).



I was in an Epic rank season and kept myself energized frequently enough to end the regular season in first place with only like 4 losses. The guy in 2nd place had like 20+ losses. So the playoffs start and I energize in the first round and sweep it, 4-0, without having to energize a second time. In the Quarterfinals, I energize before the 1st and 3rd games and sweep it 4-0 again. Same thing in Semifinals, energize before 1st and 3rd and win 4-0.



So then it gets to the finals. I'm facing the 2nd place guy from regular season. I energize before the first game and win it, but just barely by like 1 point. I energize again before 2nd game and I lose it. I energize again before the 3rd game and I lose again. So before the fourth game I go in and train all my season cards that were on lvl 0 and get them to at least lvl 4 or 5 and I make sure everyone's energized. Doesn't make a difference. I lose game 4 as well. So in my last ditch effort, I go into all my season cards and stat charge between 1-3 stats on every card. I'm thinking that surely this will help me. I also energize them, of course. Game 5 comes around and I lose again.



I was so sure through the entire season and playoffs that I'd be able to win it all. Why in the world couldn't I beat that guy in the finals????

You might of stood a chance if you charged every stat and also used equipped all players with abilities from game 1. But you then again he might of just had a better overall team. Also sometimes the game can just make dumb decision regarding which card it chooses and use of supports etc.

You definitely are new. Lol. I don't even know how to start helping. He may have been dogging it for most of the season and had a better lineup. The other rounds you were facing were probably bots.

I'm in a season now that I'm in second but the person with the best lineup was taking it easy during the season and he may bounce me in the second round in which I will get a useless reward and have wasted a lot of time and RP.

Regular season record is not the best indicator of strength of teams. I just completed a season where I finished 4th in the regular season. The guy that finished in 6th place had the strongest team but he barely energized all year. I paid attention to where he was at in the standings so that I wouldn't be on the same side of the bracket as him. Sure enough, playoffs came around and he energized and I think he only lost one time during the whole playoffs. For guys that have super strong lineups, they're only concerned about making the playoffs. They don't care what seed they get because their lineups are so strong.

Did you happen to click on his profile and take a look at his cards?

I would keep an eye on him and try to end up on the other side of the bracket as him. I had to do that last season with an absolute tank in my season that finished the regular season as like the 6th or 7th seed and was able to get bots the first 2 rounds before losing in the semis.

I didn't check his profile but I did look into the cards he had in the game matchups after they were over. He had mostly epics and and UR pros iirc. I'm guessing it is probably better to have lots of the same tier cards as opposed to what I currently have which is 1 ST, a couple Legs, and then the rest E and UR.

So then, my best strategy would be to set up my lineup so that I'm just underneath the next tier up in order to have the strongest lineup possible in my tier?

Also, how can you tell who is a bot?

Pretty much and you can tell a player is a bot when you click on their profile and it says that they have 0 wins and 0 losses

I think you should definitely be able to, especially if those star pros are event cards. You want to win the double each quarter by doing PO + Star, then win a single by using your event Star on the last card.

I think you can do +7 on Horace with 4 PO pros because you can definitely win every double in the quarter, and you've got to get a single here or there.

At least I can list him up for 70k and get a decent return, but tbh I'm tempted to quicksell him

I think you should definitely be able to, especially if those star pros are event cards. You want to win the double each quarter by doing PO + Star, then win a single by using your event Star on the last card.

I think you can do +7 on Horace with 4 PO pros because you can definitely win every double in the quarter, and you've got to get a single here or there.

At least I can list him up for 70k and get a decent return, but tbh I'm tempted to quicksell him
