So is the performance on your rigs similar to what it was with 2k11? My laptop ran medium-high pretty well with 2x AA on. Just hoping for similar results. I find those settings still look better than the PS3 demo did.

Bumped it up to 4x AA, Quality 1 and crowd max. Not a hitch. Started my Cavs Association and first game is at Boston. Perfect framerate. Seems like they finally harnessed multi threading and GPU acceleration! BTW, leading 54-52 at half. Think I can do some work with my Cavs. LeBron, who?

Yeah, it would be nice to see some direct comparison shots of some player models in the PC and 360 versions to see exactly what these shaders add. Personally, I look at things like the Boozer player model in the image above and it looks pretty damn nice.

Only difference I see is that the PC version looks like they are wrapped in plastic. You can see that weird coating on the arms...

                      ATI HD 6950 1GB GDDR5
                      12GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz PC12800 RAM

Played 1 game last night, Suns vs Knicks at the Garden... I LOVE the new broadcast camera that's arena specific. Added a LOT to the immersion. I was getting above 100FPS... 60FPS with VSync... Absolutely Beautiful.

yeah looks like there's no self-shadows in PC, but seriously... playing this in full res 1920x1080 on my 60inch plasma at 60fps vsync, blows away the PS3 demo i have.

i have a fairly average rig (phenom x3, ati 4870) and it plays smooth at highest levels.

Specs are in Sig I still haven't ran fraps but I think my performance should be similar to those posted, I have everything maxed with vsync enabled and I really dont think it drops below 60 even in cutscenes.

                                Re: Specs/Settings/Screenshots/Performance

I built a brand new CPU especially for Battlefield 3 back in late August, and have slowly converted to a full time PC gamer in the last 2 months or so. I'm also somewhat distracted by the "plastic" looking players, even though the game runs incredibly smooth, and I don't have the slightest of hitch or problems playing the game.

                                My Setup:

                                i5 2500K @ 3.6GHZ
                                16 GB Corsair RAM
                                ASUS GTX 580 1.5 GBS

I get around 160 FPS with everything completely maxxed out running the game at 1080p. I will probably enable triple buffering and vsync next time I play it, in order to lock it at my monitors refresh rate (60).
