    benchmark test not available

    Hey guys,

I would like to run the benchmark test, but I am not able to select it. Everytime I want to go down from "Video settings" to "benchmark test", the cursur just jumps up again.
Is it due to my graphic card? Or do I have to adjust any other settings first in order to be able to run the benchmark test?

    Thanks in advance

T9600+GT240M/MaxDetail 2XAA/some mods but not photomod just textures and global/60FPS constant during gameplay.

MediaFire is a simple to use free service that lets you put all your photos, documents, music, and video in a single place so you can access them anywhere and share them everywhere.

        Re: Specs/Settings/Screenshots/Performance

This isn't a question of IF, it is a question of HOW WELL.

        How Well will this:

        AMD Phenom II X4 N930 (1.8Ghz)
ATI mobility Radeon HD 5650(just short of 1024mb, according to shogun 2)
        6GB DDR3

        run nba 2k12?

Will these specs run it on par or better than the console versions of NBA 2k12?

I'm assuming there is no PC demo as it doesn't appear in google searches?

EDIT: had a chance to try 2k12 on my CPU and it works very very well.

The lowest possibly settings with a pretty respectable set-up and getting a lousy fps 17... which is pretty close to unplayable

                Re: Specs/Settings/Screenshots/Performance

Anyone suffer from frame rate spikes while playing? I recently reinstalled the game and it will run fine for the first 10-15 minutes on medium settings (50-60 fps) and then drop to 10-15 fps for a minute or two. After that it goes back to normal and continues doing it for the entire game.

I tried searching and tweaked my cfg file but had the same problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I see everyone has AA as an option. For some reason when I check my video settings my AA is greyed out and not able to change it. I have an HD Radeon XFX 5870. A couple of years old now but still a good video card. I must be missing something. The game on PC looks great but it sounds like it could be even better for me. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Check your AA settings in CCC.

I've had a similar problem. I run the game in max settings and in the benchmark do around 100FPS. During the game there will be spikes like you mention. Nothing drastic but noticeable. I turned on Silent Mode in my antivirus program and the issue seems resolved. Worth a try.

Thanks Altimus. Going to shut down my virus protection and try that.

Edit: Well it was worth a shot but the same problem. Runs great for the first quarter then slows down from 45-50 fps to 15 fps every 5 mins the rest of the game. Resorting to just Alt-Tabbing for a minute and then come back to it. Next year I think I'll stick to the console.

I think I figured out my problem. I put all my graphical settings to med-high and used HDMI to plug it into the tv to really make the game work. I put a book under my laptop though to angle the heat and low and behold I played an entire game without any stuttering or FPS slowdown. So happy to be able to experience a full game without any problems. It was a great game too!
