Any impressions of the online mode this year? Is it playable, does it have ps2 graphics again, etc. Any info on this for pc users?

Either Online has been fixed (at least connecting to 2K for the my2K features and seeing how many players are online works, that's what I've tested), and/or the PC problem is lack of port forwarding.
What I did to make the above features work is enable DMZ on my router (pointing it to my computer of course) and disable the firewall. Now I can connect to the 2K servers. Either that fixed it, or 2K fixed the servers, or both had something to do with it. Tryit as well.Eleftherios "Leftos" Aslanoglou

Terrible. In previous games there was at least a lobby, now we had to connect with my friend by pressing quick match and hoping we will get each other.Comment

Played a game today. First game I connected to was too laggy to play. Second game ran fine though. Graphics still default to low, but this doesn't really bother me THAT much. Gameplay is orgasmic though. There was a pretty decent wait to get into a game, not that many people trying to play atm.Comment

No defensive A.I. logic
Could run and hit layups and dunks all game
Can't shoot outside because of lag delay
Laggy gameplay even during select team
Laggy gameplay on court
Free Throws are a hell no, not going to happen - 0% no matter how accurate the release.
Graphics are super low and just terrible, looks like PS2.
Did I mention the release delay
Late game logic, none.
No communication against opponent
Overall horrific.Comment

Thx for summarizing all the negative points about online gaming this year. Some guys in my online league had this theory:
Since some settings are lost if you start an online match(f.ex. jumpshot feedback) and the fps are locked to ~15, maybe the saving process is screwed up and the game just assumes that there's no benchmark for either player=>Lag.
Hopefully, 2K's going to fix that....

Online play is very important to me. Is it more 2K server issues, or are there some bugs with online play as well? I've heard there aren't any friends lists in the PC version? How the heck do you play with your friends then?Comment

Simple..you can't. At least you can't play directly. You either have to play in an online Association, which doesn't work it all because the game doesn't accept the benchmark, or try to get in a quick match..but even that doesn't work properly.Comment
