Thank you sooooo much. Game looks much better and runs great now. Only issue is that some players like Dirk now have the invisible hair glitch. Are you getting that as well?

Nah, It's the Antistopic Filtering or something. I saw it when I turned it on, but when I turned it off, their hair came back.

I thought I'd be able to chalk that up to my specs not being high enough for whatever reason, so I ran fraps, and it's reporting that the fps is consistently over 100 (usually around the 105 to 110 range) without vsync and with vsync at a consistent 60 (as usual). I'm not quite sure what to make of it. I'm not even sure if it's a framerate issue - My computer doesn't slow down or anything, it just as though the player animations are choppy. I haven't heard about anyone else having the same issues so I guess I'm just taking a stab in the dark to see if anyone else has the same issue or has had the issue in a past nba 2k game and might have a remedy for it.

I'm actually using the BF3 preview drivers (11.10) because I've been playing the BF3 beta.

You need to have V-sync and triple buffering enabled. The best way is thru a 3rd party tool like d3d overrider or ATI equivalent. All NBA 2ks are like that you can get over 100 fps but the movements are not smooth. Only with the above will it smoothen out. Mine runs really smooth w/ a GTX560 Ti.

Hi m8. I didnt read any of the post below ur comment, so i dont know if some1 esle got this solution for u already.

I was in the same situation like u.. was like WTF, everythin is so choppy and laggy... And the i found out that the only way to get rid those ****, was to simply run to WINDOW mode. Just try it.. no lags and animations back to smooth once again. I think its one more bug of the game. This is the only solution i ve come up with , until now.

Count me in the group that had minor framerate issues before forcing CCC to take over controls. Now that I am forcing CCC to control all of the video settings, game is gorgeous again.

Worked perfect for me too. Thanks for the tips! The game is smooth like never before.
Only respectable people deserve respect, you destroyed the game.

If anyone else runs into this issue, please post it in this thread - I have a hard time believing there's only a few of us having this issue.
Nah, I did this with 2k10 because they were so slow to put out a patch for the PC. Not doing it with this one. If they don't get off their lazy arses and fix the problems that are becoming gamebreaking (i.e. crashes and slow downs and just screwed up gameplay at times), I will be one of many who completely shuts it down. I haven't played NBA Live/Elite for about five years now due to EA's lackluster commitment to their game. It will be no problem for me to do the same with 2K if they don't get their act together this year with making good on patching this soon. I can use my thirty bucks on something I know will work, like underwear!!!!

                          Re: Odd Framerate Issue?

Glad I found this thread as I was having the same issues. It would run 120FPS with vsync turned off but we all know the issues with that. 60FPS with it on but the stuttering issues would be there. Found this thread and turned all AA off and put textures to low in-game. Went to the Nvidia control panel and put AA at 32 and rest AA features at highest setting, textures high and ran quick test run and boom, no issues.

With in-game settings on highest points I would get a high FPS in the benchmarks but the on screen game play would stutter badly. With it this way the FPS dropped in the benchmark but the gameplay was very smooth in 2K's benchmark demo which never was previously.
