    How do I install mods?

    A little about myself. I'm 46 and I'm new to pc games. I love sports so I decide to buy GTR2 and Nba 2k12. I downloaded a bunch of mods for GTR2 without a problem. Nba2k... wow!! I have no idea how to make them run. First, I used the %appdata% to find my folder, I unzipped the files and placed them in the folder. I was not ask to overwrite anything nor did I see any files that ended with .iff I have the steam version of the game, could that be the problem? The mods that I downloaded are: TNT logo, I think 4 dornas packs and the Orlando Magic court. None are showing up in the game.. HELP!

      You only put roster files or save files in 2k appdata folder, u want to put all other files in the c drive, program files 86, nba 2k main folder, then it will ask if u want to overwrite, that's the right folder for all mods, the one located in c drive

          Paste them into the directory where you installed the game. %Appdata% is for game saves (rosters, settings) and configs.

          Program Files > 2K sports > NBA 2K12

              Thanks for the information. This is a steam download, does it not run off the steam network? I remember it only giving me the option of putting a shortcut on my desktop, not to download it into the hard drive. Also, I thought I looked in both of my program filess (386) and didn't see a folder with 2k or nba 2k12 in it. Did I download it wrong? Do I need to save it to my hard drive? Again, sorry for not knowing how to do this and thank you all for the wonderful information that you put in these forums.

                  No, you don't need to download it again.

                  Try Program Files > Steam > steamapps > common > nba 2K12

                          And don't forget to make backup copies of all the files you replace. Just in case you don't like the mods or something does not work correctly (rarely happens, but better safe than sorry).
