    Tired of the CPU Rubber-banding

The rubber-banding AI is ridiculous. I don't know whether I'd rather lose to Heat-cheesers online or beat my head against the wall with the CPU. I win probably 40% of the games against the CPU (mostly with the Wolves), so it's not that I never win, but in this game, I didn't have a chance. The Rockets ended up scoring like 134 points. Not fun, 2K.

Hm, I somehow had to smile when looking at your graph, because (although I've managed to win some games in the meantime after an awful start) my 3rd quarter almost always turns out to be a disaster. I've paid attention to that for some 10-15 games now and it's always the 3rd where my scoring s*cks and CPU does whatever they want, especially scoring like hell from the paint. But I assume that's only accidential...

It's been like that from some time in 2k basketball games. Always in the 3rd quarter.

The cpu rubber bands both you and the cpu. I've just learned to accpet it. Every so often, there is that game where the cpu refuses to lose.

I haven't played for a while until today. Made a few games and lost all of them mainly due to the 3rd quarter. Last time CPU had 75% in the 3rd and I'm still waiting for the 1st time I'm better in this damn 3rd quarter. LOL
Anyway, even worse than rubberbanding is the constantly high shooting percentage. I'm still playing on pro only and CPU gets 55-60% FG, while my own percentage is 10-15% lower. I'm getting realistic %, but I have no clue how to defend better. I typically defend until the shot clock is down to 5. And as soon as CPU is in post play, I can choose between covering them as good as possible (and let them finally score with ~90%, directly or by 2nd chance) or commit a foul. When I look at this graph in the OP, all I can say is that even the lowest CPU quarter %FG would make a great NBA team.
I'm really hoping for the patch and ideally that would also correct this ridiculous speed issue. Some players run slower than others dribble. On fast-breaks CPU overtakes even my fastest players. LMAO
I'm not sure whether or not I would have shelved this game if I had not won a few games in between...

guys im playin on allstar and have no clue what you're talking about... since im using slimm's roster and true gamers sliders and tweaked coach profiles (did it by myself) and never ever lost in the 3rd quarter. im thinking about moving up to superstar or hof.

Does this mean you are also scoring with 55% or higher or do your CPU opponents score at lower %? I have not changed coach profiles so far, but I doubt that makes all the difference.

I played another ugly game. Lit it up in the first half, and I knew what was coming when I bricked my first two lay-ups of the 3rd Quarter. I added a graph for blocked shots as well, as the CPU goes all-world.

I'm playing on Pro, simulation, real FG and FT percentages, and using the OS custom sliders.

The games I win, I tend to either get very hot from outside, or pump it inside and get the CPU in foul trouble early.
