    Someone good at Patches

I'm not a NBA 2k noob, I played more than my share on PS3 but I went for this on the PC and first thing I'm told on forums is to not even bother if I don't have the right patches. Question is, what are the "right" patches? Is downloading the purchase from Amazon the same as putting in a disc or does 2k Sports update their download files as the patches come in? I'm a big My Player person so that's what I'll do---does that matter?

I'd be forever grateful for any answers. I was obsessed with 2k11 on PS3 and I absolutely cannot wait to do this, but I want to do it right and I have absolutely no clue on how high-powered gaming works on PC. THANKS!

EDIT- I just came from the patch thread, and the thing said if you bought it digitally, please return to the original site of... then nothing. All I know is there's no patch on Amazon.

if you d/l the digital version from amazon, i think it's the dvd version. however, digital downloads from sources like steam, gamer [w/e], etc are going to have unique patches.

Yep, just get the patch from the 2ksports website. It's the same.

Awesome, thanks. I went ahead and did it after finding a post buried in the patch thread I finally saw. I still can't get anything from the games 2k Share because it keeps telling me there's a problem with my connection. I'm guessing it's on their side.

        Thanks!

No dude, there is a patch/update on Amazon, because I got mine there. You have to actually look for it.

Go to the NBA 2k12 product page on Amazon.com. Then scroll down to product details where it lists system requirements. Slightly above system requirements, you should see a notice that there is a new update for the game. Click on that and you should be able to download the patch.

I cannot find it anywhere on amazon's page. Can you send a screenshot or something to show where to download the update/patch? Thanks.

                Re: Someone good at Patches

the patch ruins the game, unless you like online play or etc, i wouldn't download it, i just wiped my system and reinstalled the game without patch, but thats just my preference,
