Long time PS3 NBA 2K player looking to switch over to PC.

I do have one pressing question. The controller.

I'm interested in playing the PC version using the Xbox controller, but I have my reservations since I've never played Xbox in my life. Will this be an easy switch for me? Anyone else who made the switch from PS3 controller to Xbox controller? The left stick is in a totally different position on the Xbox controller...

I know there are some drivers available online that'll "maybe" allow me to use my PS3 controller for PC games. I say "maybe" because I heard it doesn't work for some games, etc and gives you a headache. I'd rather avoid it and rely on something I know will be dependable and possibly work for other games as well, thus choosing the Xbox controller.

well i havent switched from PS3 to XBox but i have tried both of them and i find it easy to adapt to. im sure you'll be fine. using the xbox for pc is like using it for console, same controls, same buttons, etc. if you do plan to use the xbox controller make sure its wired not wireless.

Using a PS3 controller is actually really easy with a PC and I use it to do all of my gaming as my hands much prefer the controller. You just need to grab the free program 'motion in joy'

I haven't had a single issue with it. The program emulates the 360 controller so that your games think that is what you are using. The only thing that might be confusing will be in game displays still showing the 360 button icons.

Just buy a 360 controller dude. Xbox or Gamestop brand is 100 percent plug and play. I just bought the 24 dollar, brand new gamestop one and have never had to set anything up. With my PS3 wired controllers I gave up because motion joy couldn't program certain axis' and it was just a lot more work. Besides I've always preferred Xbox controllers feel anyways.

Yep the game is only 29$ for PC on Amazon, if you don't have a 360 controller it's only 30$ so pretty much the price of the game on PS3/360 for both, if you have a good computer and don't play a lot online just buy it on PC, worth it but if you love online don't! i think that's the reason why the game is cheaper on PC, online sucks we also don't have DLCs or preorder bonus and update something like 2 months after consol .. but enough for me with all these crazy mods and amazing graphics

Just switched to PC. Love it but im having problems with the left and right triggers. If i press turbo or intense D they stay active even after releasing them. Anyone else have this issue. Im running windows vista. Drivers installed.

Yep and the digital version is only 27$, so with my 15$ credit I'm only paying 12$ out of pocket and can start downloading the game at 12:00amPST

I was talking about 2k13 but you could probably get the pc version of 2k12 for around 5$

can someone post a pic of the Nets NEW JERSEY blue uniforms? i am thinking about getting this for the PC. i might get NBA 2K13 for PC just so i can make it as if the Nets never moved to Brooklyn and stayed in NJ

Hey Guys , I'm trying to make the switch from xbox 360 to PC . I've played NBA 2K12 on my laptop last October ( downloaded the game for free ) it worked alright had its slow moments. Then it started asking for a disk which I didn't have so I stopped playing and continued on my xbox 360 ( NBA 2K11 ) . So now I want to go back to PC but my CPU has gotten a little slower due to ALOT of music downloads. I'm willing to do a Factory Reset to free up all space basically the Laptop will be like when I first bought it. But before I do my factory restore I want to know if my laptop would be okay to run NBA 2K12/NBA 2K13. Heres a list of my laptop specs :
