Re: Switched to PC - WOW
I'm thinking I might get 2K13 for 360 and then get it for PC later down the line once mods have become available.

Don't know though, I like 360 because it's more accessible so to speak so I still think I'll get it for that first. So many ****ing games coming out and I'll be skint so I'll wait a while.

Check Amazon Warehouse Deals regularly and you can get some of their $1,000+ laptops that customers have returned for around $400-$500.Comment

Re: Switched to PC - WOW
I agree. I've been playing 2K on consoles since the first game and just got a brand new gaming laptop, made the switch and wow. Better graphics, mods, really tight knit PC community that seems cool and helpful. Also love the fact that I'm still getting all of the benefits of console because I'm using 360 controller and HDMI out.
I consistently get 90+ FPS, peaking around 120 and rarely below 80. Yesterday for some weird reason though it kept me at a steady 60 FPS the entire time (maybe because it was playoff games???) but regardless it performs better on PC. Also the PC version is 20 bucks cheaper which is HUGE.Comment

Re: Switched to PC - WOW
My monitor has a max refresh rate of 60Hz, so anything above 60FPS is pretty much useless. I turn on VSync to avoid the screen tearing as well.
My favorite combo for pretty much every game that already runs near or above 60FPS on my rig is VSync (set in-game) + Triple Buffering (via D3DOverrider).
Plus, any frames above 60FPS are frames you never get to see, but your graphics card has to render, so you're putting additional (ab)use to your card that isn't needed, hence the higher temps. VSync means your card never produces more frames than your monitor can support, so you run your games maxed out, and keep your card as cool as possible.Eleftherios "Leftos" Aslanoglou

Re: Switched to PC - WOW
Hey guys, so I've been playing NBA 2k on consoles for years now. After getting a new laptop, I made a switch to the PC version. While having all those appearance mods for players, stadiums, etc, are so cool, the creme of the crop is all the gameplay mods! These modders actually changed the way the game behaves! Not only did they give the game realistic physics, they also cut down all delay in between animations, so now NBA 2k12 plays like an entirely different game! It's just amazing what people has done to this game. Those with a PC that can run NBA 2k12 and are tired of the lack of customization and gameplay issues, make the switch now!Comment
