Re: Thinking of switching to PC?
I've been watching Shady's videos that he makes and I was just blown away especially with Iverson and all the classic teams. I know 2k13 is out soon but I still want to possibly pick up 2K12. Just wondering if it would work respectably on my PC which is this:
The Compaq Presario SR5522 is an inexpensive desktop PC that has surprisingly good specifications for the price range.
Thanks in advance for responses.'Only The Strong Survive' -
Re: Thinking of switching to PC?
although he's mostly right i'd still give it a shot. 2k Is a fairly well optimized game and has many different graphical settings for you to tinker and tune to your liking.
I would try a demo(if available) and check its performance.
From personal experience, on board graphics cards do suck compared to their dedicated brethren, but are still quite capable. I used to play Medieval 2 Total War on an 8 Y/O laptop with an on board gfx card. Websites like systemrequirementslab said i didn't meet minimum specs and PC gamers like Crossover1 warned me to stay away and save my money, but on medium low settings the game never dropped below 27 fps until you got up very close to the action.
Seeing as how you have a desktop, have you ever considered upgrading your GFX card? You can pick one up for around $100(maybe less) that will easily handle 2k12, just don't expect 3d support or to be playing Crysis on high settings or anything like that.
Trust me, if you love 2k as much as most people who visit this forum you'll not be wasting your time or money trying to get 2k on PC.
EDIT: Just noticed your running vista, i'm less optimisticIgnorance of evidence is evidence of ignorance...Comment

I guess the best thing would be to try a demo but I have never heard of 2K releasing a demo for PC.'Only The Strong Survive'Comment
