WRITTEN TUTORIAL

1.Download and Install Cheat Engine
2.Open CrashFix in Cheat Engine
3.Pause the game with about 3 seconds left in the 1st/3rd quarter
4.Press the button in the top left of Cheat Engine
5.Find nba2k12 and press open
6.Change the value to 2
7.Skip all the halftime ads
8.Pause the game after the halftime ads are gone
9.Change the value to either 2(just finished 1st quarter) or 4(just finished 3rd quarter)
10.Repeat steps 3-9 every game

I'll need some clarification. Why is changing the current quarter value in memory a solution? How did you come up with this?

well I first observed when the crashing was happening, and it only happens when you are not on the bench after the first and 3rd quarter. So at first I was going to find a way to turn on manual substitutions, which I did find, but it causes the games sound to be messed up for some reason. So, then I just found a way to change the quarter. You just changed it to the end of the 2nd quarter everytime, and the crash won't occur because it is not at the end of the 1st/3rd, it's the end of the 2nd. Then you change it back to the original quarter so you can continue your game
