By the way, I've only owned the game a week and its awesome...especially with mods. I've downloaded / tried a number of different courts, jerseys, etc. and have everything working they way I like now. This game will definitely keep me up a night.

I tried this and the frame rate was even worse! It's a pretty frustrating port to be honest, to even get it to run I have to run it in compatibility mode for Win 98 or else it crashes instantly on start up.

When I finish up with Far Cry and Assassins Creed I might roll back my drivers but for now I can be bothered!

        Thanks for the help though.

The only better thing about PC is the ability to mod the game. The price isn't that great, because of all the things the PC version is lacking.
Okay, 2k isn't a demanding game unless you have a really old PC. Even then you can get high settings if you adjust the aa, dof and court reflection, with respectable fps. Imo the fps are a bigger selling point, then the mods because the game is unbelievably smooth. The mods of course, makes the pc version a must for most people. But the high fps makes the console version almost unplayable for me. The pc version would blow the console version out of the water if it had the same support as it's console's counterparts.

You don't need a great gaming PC to max out the settings on NBA 2K13. The game engine is running on pretty old tech.

I max it out and get 80-90 frames per second and I'm running it on a $500 laptop.

What resolution are you playing at? I recently rebuilt my rig and NBA 2k13 stays locked at 60 FPS (never moves) playing at 1920x1080 on my TV. Does NBA 2k13 have different FPS limits at different resolutions? I ask because I get around 100 FPS w/ most other games (Skyrim, Batman, Metro 2033, etc.).

Disregard this post, I never realized I had v-sync checked. Unchecked I get a constant 116 FPS.
