New to PC, I need a little help with mods, rosters, etc.

I need some help, I just got 2k13 for PC and I was wondering how to do some things.
    1. How to put draft classes, rosters from the internet in the game
    2. Where to find some mods, and how to put them in.

    3. How to reduce lagging while in game and what some of the things in video settings do.

    Thanks!

    moddingway.com & nba-live.com/NLSC

these sites mainly support modding in NBA 2k.

    To download a mod

    1. Save mod

    2. extract mod

    3. copy & paste mod into the main 2k13 folder

    done

just make sure you back up your original 2k files just in case you dont like the mod. You may make a few mistakes here & there but thats how you learn

Thanks for the help, but I also need help with draft classes such as where I put the cyber faces.

Rosters, you put in Appdata ( Its in your users folder with my documents, my music etc. But it will be a hidden folder so you will have to go to folder options and make it visible.)/Roaming/2k Sports/NBA 2k13/Saves. Any other kind of save file goes there too (Including Draft Classes).

There are no mods to reduce lag. Some do the opposite.

Video settings, which ones do you need clarification?

I would suggest going into video benchmarks and find a FPS that appeals to you. The lower your video settings the higher your FPS will be. Generally about 60 FPS is nice and smooth.

I wouldn't. It eliminates breaking of the half line as the camera pans, among other things. The having 120 FPS is a great thing to brag about, but when most TV's max out at 60, going over 60 is pretty stupid. Plus Vsync would elevate the FPS for a higher refresh rate.

Kind of new to modding as well. Where do I back the game files up? Is there a way to do it in Steam? I want to add some mods to my 2K13 folder as well but want to make sure I am doing the right thing b4 I mess up the game.

Just make a folder, and before you overwrite a file, copy it from your main 2K13 folder into your backup folder. That way you can retrieve it and put the backed up file back into your main 2K13 folder if there's something wrong with the mod, etc.
