Why? I'm pretty sure there will be a NBA2k15 pc version. Porting to pc is even easier now for devs.

There will be a NBA 2K15 for PC. It just won't be next gen. It will probably be just a roster update with no new features (and maybe some fewer features, depending on how many VC exploits on consoles are found, remember how they took out coach mode on PC this year after the VC exploit on consoles only last year). PC isn't allowed to have any features consoles do not, and this year that included Coach Mode.

2K will never port a NG version to PC because of piracy. Never ever ever ever ever ever. They may give PC the CG (XBox 360, PS3) port next year, but that is not set in stone and I would not be surprised if PC got its usual PS2 clone next year.

2K, just like plenty of other companies, feels that they lose money even making a PC version each year, but to their minor credit they still do it because not giving us our barebones old gen game would alienate some of the paying masses (the ones that do pay for it). EA felt this way in 2009 and they have a LOT less restraint than 2K does. That's why they took all their sports series to consoles only.

They've already cut 60% of the CG features in the PS4/X1 NG versions..So expecting them to bother with the PC version it's a utopia.
After all, NBA 2k14 PC version is superior in every way: No VC's, great gfx with mods, very good customization.
Let's see what they'll bring with 2k15 on PC next year. Let's hope they will leave VC's again out of this version. As I'm thinking it right now and taking in account the tsunami of complaints for the 2k14 NG consoles version, I'll be more than happy with a 2k14 (dressed up as a 2k15 product)+NG graphics+CG modes.

IMO superior graphics at the expense of full customization and modding is not worth it. What 2k14 PC lacks in Next Gen Graphics and Next Gen modes, it more than makes up for it by allowing full customization and leaving out that VC junk. After mod editing, the graphics are pretty doggone good. I'd say where graphically 2k14 Next Gen is a 2015 Rolls Royce Bently...PC after modding is a 2014 Mercedes fully loaded.
