Modders are a reliable bunch. They will find a way eventually to look at the games graphic files to figure out what's moddable. It may take a month or two but it will happen.

i think 2k used some of the pc modders content and iirc they hired one of the well known pc modders. check me on that.

my guess is they will make it next gen because they want this community to keep bringing new content to the game.

plus, if they dont make it next gen there is a good chance it will end up killing the franchise on pc.

I just think having Leftos there helps us PC gamers in one way or another.

That guy gets it and I for one am glad that 2k grabbed him.

Pretty much the same as you guys if i don't get the new graphics i will not be giving them my money. I have been playing NBA 2k Since 1999. I really hope they get the sliders right this time. As for online i would love a season online but i need to be able to lock on my player/coop-x5. and let the pc do the rest.

Plz Plz Plz give us what we deserve. I will never buy a ****ii console. but im happy to give my money to them for the real game and not some half cut down version. Pc market place is on the rise and it would not be a smooove move to rip us off again. If NBA live had balls they would focus on pc a bit more and you watch the dollars roll in.

Impossible?! After they figure some things out, you'll see something within 2-3 months.

If they had ball to do ii, sure thing is right. But the unfortunate part of it, EA is waaaaaaay behind 2K. I mean have y'all seen the animation in the EA bball game ? i was really lmao

I'm a sucker too since I got 2K14 on Xbox one but seriously, do a proper version this time for 2K15 on pc and put let us preorder on Steam.

To be fair that won't change a thing since it will always be easier to pirate on PC. On consoles you have to do something to invalidate your warranty(like opening it) and you might break your system. On PC you just download the game, install it, and then put a crack in (move a file over).

Definitely much more difficult, I know some guys snooped through 2k14 next Gen save files and they were highly encrypted. But there's always a way and the modding community is really talented.
I'd expect year 1 would be slow for mods but after that some good tools should be released for exporting and importing files. Its a trade off I'd be willing to make cause the excitement of getting next Gen features would hold me over for most of this year.

An interview on a Polish PC hardware site, and an article on what seems to be a KPop news site. Yeah, not the best sources for an NBA game.

I haven't either, but I don't see how Steamworks suggests which version the game would be based on. Either way, whether it is the old or new engine, any Steamworks usage would have to be added in more or less the same way.

Granted, it does seem strange to bother if they're only going to trot out a port of the same engine as 2K14 PC, but then again that's no stranger than staying on the old engine in general, considering it would practically be a death blow for the series on PC at this point and fairly redundant to even bother releasing it at all.
