Re: NBA 2k15 Modding Thread
Close, but probably not completely. Certain things have proven tough to crack to this point. I would wager thatthe cosmetic things (faces, courts, jerseys, dornas, nets, etc) will all be fine. As I mentioned, much of that is already being worked on or close to being possible...just a matter of getting more guys familiarized.
The biggest loss so far is roster editing. Right now, it's apparently way too complicated and I don't know that anyone has tried any further to figure it out yet. This means the big roster projects, certain conversion mods, and extra details (like team colors, jersey additions and affiliations, etc) will be hampered or missing.Comment

Re: NBA 2k15 Modding Thread
Link is in the OP (along with some basic instructions):
You want v0.27
And here is a link for the tool's tutorial:
You will be basically just following the tutorial's initial section about .iff files (note that although it uses cyberfaces as the example, the same rules apply for all .iffs, like jerseys, courts, etc).
The rest is generally for people actually modding things, not just adding stuff (so far, everything to add has been in the traditional .iff format).
The final section gives you the general list order of files, so you can have an idea of where to find the file you are trying to overwrite. It may seem daunting at first to some, but it really is just a matter of using the tool once or twice to see how easy it actually is.Last edited by SoxFan01605; 01-16-2015, 12:49 PM.Comment

Yeah, I was set on PC mainly because of the modding so I grabbed the X1 version and will come back once the modding scene gets better.Comment

Re: NBA 2k15 Modding Thread
Is there a tool for editing rosters on PC yet? I would buy the PC version and sell my PS4 version if a roster editor tool came out (I heard REDitor doesnt work for editing rosters anymore).
I just want to adjust coaches ratings, add/remove headbands, and maybe use a text editor client to make draft classes with flagged names that shouldn't be.Comment

Re: NBA 2k15 Modding Thread
Dang well guess 2k14 will be my main basketball game for a while unless they throw more classic teams on future games which will not happen. I don't know i just don't have much interest playing with any current teams i grew up watching in the late 80's.Comment

Re: NBA 2k15 Modding Thread
This is probably a dumb question, but how do I "back up" ONE PLAYER's file?
I.e. I have backed up all my files...so when mods go wrong, I copy the original files back. That fixes any problems, but everything goes back to square one.
I have modded beards and tats...............all work.
But, when I load the modded Steven Adams it crashes my entire game.
Now back to square one...I need to work out how to back up the player files individually so that when I get an error I can just reinstall that single player etc.Comment

Re: NBA 2k15 Modding Thread
I haven't tried this myself, but if you have a backup and want to reinstall an individual file, I would think you could just point the explorer to the path of your backup folder rather than the actual game and take the file from there. 1) direct the explorer to your backup's path (options>preferences>select NBA 2K15 directory)
2) extract the original file you need from there
3) redirect the explorer to the game's location
4) import the file you just extractedLast edited by SoxFan01605; 01-24-2015, 03:38 PM.Comment
