Re: NBA 2k15 Modding Thread
Nesa made very good progress and managed to import 2k14 mods (dds and png files) to 2k15.
I guess in a couple of days we will have the initial version of the tool.Comment

Re: NBA 2k15 Modding Thread
NESA24 released his beta version of a 2k15 file explorer. No importing back into the game yet but now we can snoop around and even export individual files.
It's pretty user friendly but not if you're totally new to modding. I'm going to look through some of the files in a sec. Download link has been added to the first post.Comment

Getting closer...

At least I (for now xD) can preview all the compressed textures in the game properly xD so if anyone has any texture that is eager to see please send it over
Most of the textures are following the newest DX10 format, but with some tweaks i can convert them into legacy formats and not only that. I can take legacy dds formats and turn them into this "garbage" 2k like format in order for the game to use them again. Nesa has already tried with proper textures and they worked. I don't know if there will be any massive speed gain, but i'll try it eventually :P

Re: NBA 2k15 Modding Thread
By Vl@d Zola Jr. on NLSC
I'm really sorry, but i've been real lazy busy in the last couple of weeks. Actually 90% of this knowledge i got during the first 3 days after the game was released (you remember my post about unpacking every single subfile out of the big archieves, right?). So, i'm really sorry, but there was no chance for me to implement everything earlier.
Anyway, RED MC can now work pretty well with exporting and importing all kinds of stuff out and into the game. But that's kinda raw export at the moment. I need a couple more days to dig through the files, so it will be possible to edit textures (and some other stuff) in the most friendly way.
Unfortunately, no news on rosters so far, as the files look to be quite encrypted, so i didn't put much effort into that by the moment.
Much things also depend on my beard growth (Andrew knows what i mean), so more news about the tool's format are coming in the next few days. But whatever happens, i'll go out with something interesting this upcoming week.
So, stay tuned. This is gonna turn from Preview into Release quite soon.
