    Crashing

Ok, is anyone else experiencing this? I preloaded the game, and wouldn't even make it a minute before it crashes. Redownloaded all night, same thing this morning. Updated my video card drivers, and now I can get about 4-5 minutes before a crash. I don't understand what's happening. The game itself is running fantastically, but without fail it'll crash and just send me back to my desktop. No warning, no error message, just bam - and I'm looking at my desktop again.

Haven't gotten 2k on PC before, so is this to be expected early on, and it'll be patched later? Or am I missing something here... Has anyone else been having these issues?

    My rig:

    i3570
    8 GB Ram
    2GB HD 7870
    Win 7 64-bit

Still haven't tried disabling anti-virus, maybe that's the trick, though it hasn't affected anything else I've played... Have to go to work, but maybe other folks here can help, or have the same crashes too. Thanks.

NBA 2k15 Steam Pre-order Game Crash on Load Screen after Kevin Durant. That's what is what is happening to me and so other people who Pre ordered on Steam. So you are not alone. Myself and some of the other have sent our DxDiag.txt to 2k support so hopefully 2K gets these game crashes resolved soon.

Ok, so far, playing it with Steam in offline seems to work. I don't know what happened, but maybe having the servers up helped out. But it's working now. Will try with it online in a bit.

But if people are having issues, would suggest trying online (and updating drivers, all the usual stuff).

Putting Steam info Offline Mode seems to be containing it for me. I know some people have had it worse, where you can't even get into a game...Hopefully 2K is taking note and getting a patch out ASAP. I would say definitely make sure your video card drivers are updated, try it in Offline Mode in Steam, that's what has worked for me so far. It sounds like the servers have been having issues too, so maybe it's all related.

The joys of launch day buying, I suppose. It is all worth it though, the game is amazing. I just hope they can get these issues ironed out, especially if the MyPlayer mode needs you to be online... Not entirely sure why, exactly, but that mode really looks intriguing to me.

There is a "limited" MyCareer mode for offline play...not sure how it's limited though.

But yes, totally agree with the rest of this post - aside from some graphic and low FPS issues, I believe the servers are the primary cause of the game's issues right now. Offline mode should really help while 2K sorts those server issues out.

I've crashed twice now near the end of a Mycareer game. Its getting to be pretty annoying. And I don't necessarily wan't to play offline as I wan't to be earning VC when I play. I was able to get through 2 quick games yesterday. And some blacktop games. Luckily the crashing usually took place while I was in menus or in a game mode. There was a lot of crashing while in the menus/game modes. I started a MyCareer last night. Got through some of the games without crashing. 2 of the last 3 I have played have crashed.

I really like the game. I just hope the crashing can be taken care of relatively quickly. I guess i'll try it with my anti virus off next just to see if that does anything, but I doubt it. I do have the latest nvidia drivers btw.

                  Re: Crashing

I've gotten a few crashes when going into other some of the main modes. My first crash was trying to start a MyCareer, right after the opening cutscene. My second crash was right after finishing my first MyLeague game, as soon as I went to exit the game into the menus it crashed to desktop.

I've been able to play a few quick games without any problems at all. My AMD Catalyst drivers are up to date. A note not related to crashing is that after updating my drivers the game has smoothed out a bit during intermissions where I was getting a drop in FPS.
