I 'was' going to play a season as the Nets...KG's last stand + I like to play a low post (Lopez) + PG dominated offense (D Will) + AK47 as my point forward...

But I cannot play using 'that' D Will in the game...it is so unbelievably bad that it just kills all immersion. I find it hard to understand 'how' they missed fixing him and Glen Davis. Not a big deal maybe to most, but if you are using those teams it is a real immersion killer.

      Fantastic!

I have played for a 6-7 hours straight now and it's 5:30 AM in my country.

I love every aspect of the game. This finally looks like real basketball. When I saw a pull up jumper from Rose instead of just driving to the basket like crazy, I think I pissed my pants.

I still have to get used to the new defensive system. Sometimes I have trouble staying in front of quicker guards but it'll be OK. Graphics are also amazing, except for the courts. I can't wait for the first custom courts.

Also, impact animations, post up animations and hard foul animations are amazing.

      Three things I don't like:

      - rim sounds

      - AI making jumpers over 2-3 players in their faces

      - too good offensive rebounding from the AI

But we should be able to fix these two with sliders, hopefully.

        Re: PC Impression's Thread

I've been able to play smooth games mostly. Stuttering a bit in replays but the game is good. Been pretty good. .. I'd recommend turning off super sampling in the configuration files period

        What's up Walt. . Buddy

I seriously don't get why it happens, it just has no rhyme or reason. If it was an actual issue with frame rates I wouldn't be getting smoother performance when I bump up everything. Its just something about their PC ports that just baffles me.

Yeah especially if your monitor is led I think 2ms or less would reduce that greatly.

I got a new monitor for the same reason. Nothing is wrong though.

Also make sure it's on the game setting

                  Is probably the monitor.
I had a 22inch led visio that was awesome but when I played basketball I wanted to vomit for the same reason but it was really bad blur.

I took it back for a regular lcd tv and it was better still blurry but nowhere near as bad and I kept that til I got this asus monitor that refreshes at 2ms. It's just fine now but I want one of those BenQ monitors but that's probably your issue. Fast movementbut otherwise everything is fine with it

Also the blurry in fat moving objects. .. what kind of monitor refresh rate do you have?
What settings did you settle on?

I had mine pretty stable running a pretty solid 45fps with slight dips like I mentioned before..

But of course I just had to start tweaking settings trying to squeeze a few more fps. Well I started going backwards.. I was tweaking like a madman.. Yeah I got carried away. And couldn't really find my way back to a stable rate.

So just now I set it up like this

                    In game settings

                    Resolution: 1920x1080(16:9)
                    Window mode: full screen
                    Refresh-rate: 60 MHz
                    Anti-aliasing: 1
                    Vsync: off
                    Aspect ratio correction: off
                    Texture detail: medium
                    Player detail: high
                    Crowd detail: medium
                    Special effects: off
                    Shader detail: low

In catalyst control my settings are

                    Anti-aliasing mode: override app settings
                    AA samples: 2x
                    Filter: standard
                    AA method: adaptive multisampling
                    Morphological filtering: off

                    Texture filtering
Anisotropic filtering mode: override app settings
                    Anisotropic level: 2x
                    Texture filtering quality: performance
                    Surface format optimization: off

                    Frame rate control
Wait for vertical refresh: always on
                    Open gl triple buffering: on

                    Tessellation
                    Tessellation mode: override app settings
                    Max tesselation level: off

I'm getting 50 Fps during most gameplay.
During after basket player cutscenes my fps is going UP to about 70-80 fps, same for when I'm inbounding, before I get to half court.

During time outs the cheerleaders are at about 45 fps. The only time it drops below that, to about 30 fps, is for a second when it cuts to the players breaking from the huddle.

I can pump the fps up to around 60 during gameplay by taking off vsync but every now and then I get tearing which drives me crazy.

I may try to turn the texture detail back up to high and see what sort of dip I get but as it is I'm happy with it. It's smooth enough and I barely notice the difference in texture quality unless I ultra zoom in on replays.

                          Re: PC Impression's Thread

Ugh, this game....tried pretty much every graphic adjustment and none stop the stuttering. Fraps is telling me it should be running fine but the game says otherwise. Fifa 15 is "next gen" on PC this year and that runs beautifully on my pc maxed out, and I can't honestly say that 2k15 looks better than it. I get that there's more to it than that but still, I'm not buying that 2k is more graphically intense. Even thought about upgrading my video card, but I'm seeing folks with $300-400 cards saying that
                          stutters no matter what.

Just gonna have to take the L for buying at release which I'm usually against. I'm gonna hang it up until nvidia drops some drivers.

To be fair, I do like what I see so far minus the graphics issues. My player seems to be improved a little as far as teammate AI and immersion. Although i do still see a bit too many "race up the court and shoot a contested leaner" situations. Haven't really touched any other modes, because of the server problems and I need sliders before starting my gm.

I'm definitely curious to see what happens as far a modding goes, but if 2k handles their business we may not really need it as badly. I know that's a big if, I just hope they don't bail on us like they have in the past.

You need to turn off the in-game AA if you're forcing AA through the hardware. You're going to have issues if you don't.

Maybe I'm at an advantage because I have 2 670's in SLI.. but i haven't really had any frame drops below 60 (everything maxed, vsync on). You need to turn off the in-game AA if you're forcing AA through the hardware. You're going to have issues if you don't.
For whatever reason via hardware it was doing nothing to the game that's why I have it on. Ill try again but is been cool
