Not enough people playing on PC?

Something I've noticed is that match making often takes a very long time. To the point where I'll click quick match and then go do something else while I wait for someone else to join.

This is especially problematic for MyTeam where I have literally not gotten into a match now that I'm out the first few seeds despite leaving it running for ever.

And my park only ever has at most 20 or so people on at any given time (And thats peak, usually it's around 4-5)

Is this just because there aren't enough players playing to have a sustaining online experience or is it something else?

I believe there are separate servers for different regions. For the most part I can't get any online games going unless I join someone who is already in a packed lobby for MyPark or Rec Center. Everytime I simply start the park on my own I'm greeted to an empty park or lobby, the same goes for most of the people who play on the East Coast of the United States with me. They join friends, I join them, people join me, it's the only way I get to play. I barely even play the game because of it and overall it's a horrible experience.

I'm with you on the long wait to find a myTeam match, coming over from FUT, where you were guaranteed a match in divisions every time you search for an opponent, I was disappointed that matchmaking on 2k took so long. I think it just attributes to the fact that the amount of players on PC is just nowhere as much as the amount of players on PS/xbox.

Via Steam, I see several thousand players "In Game" at a time, but MyPark is usually empty (probably because a lot of people are like me and think MyPark actually is a crappy game mode). Have only played a few online quick games, didn't wait too long.

Honestly, I think PC players tend to lean a lot more towards single player game modes than console gamers do. That, plus the PC sales are probably only 10% of either of the console sales.

Game puts you on different servers depending on region AND ingame language I guess. I'm from germany but have the game on english (because 2ks german translations are ... really bad). I was not able to join friends from germany, who have the game on german.
After they changed their language to english, too, we were able to play together in the park.

There's definitely a shortage of players, they need to make it so that PC can play against console players and vice versa, other games do this so I don't see why it's not possible...

So sick of only being able to use about 40% of the features of a game due to poor planning and server structure.
