Can someone help me with PC specs for 2k15

    I'll be purchasing this laptop:

Discover our wide range of work laptops and student laptops from the biggest brands, including HP, Dell & more! Shop laptops that are big on tech at JB Hi-Fi!

I was just wondering if this laptop would be able to run 2k15?

You may be able to run it with everything at Low settings but I think you'll have stuttering again.
That's an expensive laptop for its specs though. I don't think it's a good purchase for gaming but it's up to you.

I have to agree with fearwhatnow: low settings at best. If you're looking to play games like 2k15 with this laptop you're going to be disappointed, and the laptop just doesn't seem to be a good value. Even looking at non-gaming specs, the laptop doesn't seem to have an ssd or 1080p screen. Unless you're in love with the design of the laptop (if it's like the Lenovo G500s I used to have, it's solid but not spectacular) this seems to be poor value for $800 imo.

A very quick search netted me this laptop for $550: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16834314535.

Purely from a specs standpoint, it's a much better value. You still won't have a great screen but you'll save $250 and that 840m will handle this game at medium settings at native resolution.

Absolutely, and it's not that close. What you posted really isn't any better than integrated graphics.

Edit: Go here for an idea of what you'll be able to play with that 840m. Pretty much every 2014 game (minus AC: Unity but Ubisoft doesn't really count) is at least playable, and you'll be able to get medium/high settings on plenty of games. Absolutely not a gaming pc by any means, but you're not gonna find a better gaming laptop for that money.

That price is a ripoff, when using a laptop you would need a very good high end computer (laptop). For 2k15 since it's made the leap to next gen (new engine).. I would say get a desktop.

I don't know where you live but if you have a store called microcenter.com they're amazing, no ripoffs.

If you don't have that store tiger direct and new egg are good options (I prefer tiger direct).

            All the best,
            Rich
