Is there still a way to preload via Steam without the key? I'm getting the code on the 25th from Amazon, but 60GB would take me 2-3 days to finish...

Damn. Back in time it was possible then Steam locked down on it so I would borrow a friend's account to preload but he hasn't bought 2k yet. Gotta wait then I guess unless I could borrow an account

Yeah it's weird, I got a preload notification but I couldn't do anything (I bought the game on Steam) it's just saying coming soon.

Restarted Steam and they don't even advertise the prelaod anymore. Of all the games where Steam had to **** around with the preload had to be this one, first time I'm experiencing this

PC guys it seems we've been ****ed by 2K here. Pre-order isn't a "play on the 25th" its a "start MASSIVE download on the 25th"

Unless you do what I've done (and buy console ASWELL) the real release date is 26th/27th for us...... BOOOOOOO!!

I've been tweeting Ronnie and LD for days about the date we can commence download but they appear to be avoiding answering me..... they know they've sold a pre-order for 25th when it's just not the case for PC guys...... brutal.

Preload normally get unlocked at 1900, so that would be in 7hrs.

!? Who said anything about a conspiracy? Haha I swear some people twist words and misinterpret.

At no point was the 23rd or 24th confirmed by anyone at 2K. And then places like GMG say things like "Keys will be available 25th"

So yeah..... all I have to go by is things I've read..... you know..... in writing.... haha.

Steam having a pre-load ad with a link that doesn't work still isn't much now is it? So again, until I hear something official I can only really go by what I've heard or read......show me an official confirmation from someone at 2K and I will happily eat my words.....

Haha so the Xbox One and PS4 are advertising "early download weekends" ?

How is it that I am 75% downloaded on Xbox One and PS4 allows downloads as of the 23rd?

Early tip off must have different meaning on consoles then aye? Haha....

Some real disagreeable people on these forums.....I am lobbying for something we all want yet still find myself having to defend myself haha..... Geez...

xbox and ps4 are downloading yet and can play 25.

pc should download today...and can also play at 25.

for all the rest is release 29.

Haha my problem is I can't say I've seen actual confirmation that our Steam keys will be released prior to the 25th. Can you please direct me to where you're seeing that (genuinely asking)?

You did kind of contradict yourself by saying it "isn't an early download weekend" and then followed up by saying "PC should download today" haha.... notice that?

But anyhow, where have you seen that PC can download today? Once I see this, I am all good.....

Being a few days away from the release date, I understand your concerns. NBA 2K16 will be a great title to play.

As for the pre-loading, the error message states that the game has not been released yet. There you go. But I can tell you that you will be able to pre-load the game before the 25 so all NBA 2K fans can enjoy the game they pre-ordered.

Personally, I would relaunch steam and try to download again later. You can even set steam to download the game automatically once available.
