Re: Announcers disappear after a few minutes
I'm getting that and the micro stutter on my end. Didn't expect it to be perfect out of the box but c'mon 2K, these are legacy issues...my rig is a damned savage too so I know it isn't that (i7 3930k, GTX Titan, ROG 4 board with 32 gb ram).Comment

Re: Announcers disappear after a few minutes
It really seems the better the rig, the worse the performance, but that could just be a coincidence. I wonder if we should even bother contacting 2K support -- they'll just give us a canned answer with no information, won't they?Comment

Also having this issue. Not game breaking but it's a shame

I think the commentators can't stand watching that lag fest so they simply stop commenting.Comment

Re: Announcers disappear after a few minutes
EDIT: He's already investigating the stuttering at least:
Originally posted by LeftosFor those of you that are experiencing stuttering, can you please reply with your DxDiag.txt and VideoSettings.cfg file attached (preferrably zipped together)? Are you an Nvidia or AMD owner?
You can get a DxDiag.txt by running dxdiag (just press the Windows key or click on the start menu and type in dxdiag and run it) and then click on "Save All Information..."
You can get your VideoSettings.cfg by opening Explorer and going to %appdata%\2K Sports\NBA 2K16.
Also, if you open your VideoSettings.cfg file in Notepad, do you see your main graphics card (AMD/NVidia) there or is it the onboard one (e.g. Intel)?
I'll try to pass on as much information as I can.Last edited by SoxFan01605; 09-25-2015, 11:51 AM.Comment

Re: Announcers disappear after a few minutes
This, for me, is pretty unacceptable. The game prides itself on presentation and yet for long periods of time in the game the announcers are basically muted until some random act brings them back, be it end of a quarter, a big dunk, what have you. The feel is completely gone when they're not there.Comment

Re: Announcers disappear after a few minutes
I've noticed that too. I have an old i5 760 with a R9 270X, so fairly mid-low end, and I play 1080 on high and it is smooth. I wonder if there is a setting or a collection of settings causing this, that people with better machines would only typically look to enable. Or, perhaps, that any auto-detection of settings that the game produces is enabling because the hardware quality is there to do it.Comment

Re: Announcers disappear after a few minutes
The workaround is to go to Simcast Live for a second and then jump back in. That should restore commentary. We're looking into it in-house as well.Eleftherios "Leftos" Aslanoglou

Re: Announcers disappear after a few minutes
you really drop the ball with the PC version this year, how come I can play NBA 2k15 maxed out at 40-50 fps and get 10 fps in 800x600 everything low in NBA 2k16, it doesnt make any senseComment

Re: Announcers disappear after a few minutes
Has anyone from 2K actually played the PC version? Do they just launched the game, navigated through the menus and said "Ok, it's working perfectly guys! Release it!"?? Because if someone had played at least 5 minutes ingame he should have noticed the commentary issue (amongst others...)
For 6 years now I supported 2K, there were years that I even bought 2 and 3 copies for friends. But this time I'm going to be harsh and I really want an official answer about this mess. Has anyone done QA for the PC version? I'd like an honest answer.

Re: Announcers disappear after a few minutes
I wish Greg Anthony would disappear! Or at very least there was a slider for each individual announcer like the Show has.Comment
