The Patch broke Icon passing (LB)

Hey guys,

I own the game on steam and today the game got updated with an 80 something mb patch. We didn't get any patch notes for it but for all purposes it was apparently mainly a patch to throw a wrench into the creation of cheatengine tables.

What happed though is that now icon passing via LB does not work anymore because Icons are no longer displayed above the players. Also the hold lob or hold bounce pass option doesn't work anymore because those icons do not get displayed as well and I do not get a display for the A-Button (you know... the one when the freeflow offense sort of kicks in?).

Anybody else got those issues? Found a way to solve it maybe?

Well at least it's not just me. Maybe we can hook up and burn our copies together or something ?

Anyway. Did you find any patch notes or anything? I for one would really like to know what kind of 87 mb of rubbish were installed on my PC.

Damn that sucks and hopefully someone finds a workaround or it gets fixed. Someone mentioned changing cameras then switching back helped for them in the PC thread.




Who could've imagined a patch to fix something creating other unintended consequences though...

I tried changing cameras and it does not work. Who could have imagined? Well tbh the PC community has been burned massively several times by 2k. Either not giving us any patches at all (like 2k12 and 2k13) or cheating us by selling us the same game twice (2k14 was essentially 2k13), well they did that to the old gen consoles (for them 2k13, 2k14, 2k15 and 2k16 are all the same games. Why not just have a dlc for 10 dollars or so with updated rosters, logos and jerseys?). So I think all PC Users could have imagined that. I think we knew it from the moment we found out that they had done nothing to prevent trainers and cheatengine and essentially even left the same loopholes open as last time.

So to sum up, it's not really a surprise to me that we got bummed again. It's a shame that we matter so little to them. Just to show you how important bug reports are for them:

Alright I have made a list of things that I encountered in terms of bugs so far and would like help with:

The sound of the gameplay presentation (during the games) cuts out often and only comes back during the pause during quarters and then basically cuts out again after 4 minutes. I encountered this problem in every game mode: MyLeague, MyGM, MyTeam and MyCareer.

In MyGM you have to make players promises and even if you keep them the players will come back a week later and claim that you didn't keep them. This issue has been around since last year so please fix it.

In MyGM you can gain so called pitches by gaining XP. These pitches can be used on players, staff etc. there are pitches for other GM's but there is no possibility to use those pitches on other GMs. Why then are those pitches available?

During games the announcer in the building will call wrong. He will always call the freethrow for the home team even though the away team takes the freethrow. This happens all the time.

During games the player of a team on offense will get fouled without having the ball seemingly at random while another player takes a shot. Even though the player that took the shot was not fouled (the game even states that another player was fouled), and the team is not over the foul limit, either of two things happen: either, even though he wasn't fouled, the scorer gets two go for a three point play or the guy who didn't shoot the ball gets to get freethrows.

I have encountered several instances in which my player was called for a shooting foul even though there was no animation of any bodycontact at all, neither did I press anything to make him take any action whatsoever and he didn't block anyone either. The AI player did simply go into a foul animation while my player basically walked beside him.

For relocating a team in MyGM or MyLeague there is no list of names or a similar system like in MyCareer (which allows you to pick a name that the announcers and commentators can pronounce) that tells the player which city name and which nickname for the team will be pronounced by the announcers and commentators so it's a total game of luck whether or not I pick the right name.

Why don't you read my first post instead of just reading the title?

You act like your post says anything about it being PC only or something. It's just a bunch of assumptions as to what the patch is.

If anyone knows if one was released for consoles or is coming for consoles, let us know.

It does. It says: I own the game on steam. Steam does not provide playstation games. I also said it downloaded there and is 80 something mb in size. The poster after me confirmed it. Excuse me for not pointing it out more clearly. Here it goes: This is an issue for a patch via Steam on PC.

Ok I didn't even notice I had installed a patch but I have the same issues. Icons for plays and p'n'r don't work anymore for me. Game is really hard to play.

That's the bug and it's been 4 days now and they haven't even acknlowedged or fixed it.

Any news? Did anybody hear anything about a patch coming out or anything? I mean for PC Users this game is absolute broken garbage atm.
