Performance difference between Play Now and MyLeague

First of all, many kudos to 2k for this patch. I'm finally getting the performance I expected, and I will be updating my Steam review shortly.

However, after testing my new settings in Play Now and deciding upon what works best for me, I noticed there was a slight hit to framerate when I jumped into a new MyLeague game. It's not huge--about 2-4 fps--but it's a big enough difference where I have to pick a setting and lower it a notch just to play MyLeague games. I've controlled for same arena and jerseys, I definitely get worse performance in MyLeague.

The only thing I can think of off the top of my head would be the players themselves--I'm in 2019 in MyLeague. I remember in 2k15 I had an issue for a while where having a bunch of CAPs in the game made things unplayable, though it was eventually patched/fixed (in fact, my thread on that popped up as a similar thread when I entered my title just now ). Would anybody (especially one of you sweet, caring devs) be able to shed some light on this?

    Try playing scrimmage.

    Main Menu>Features/Options>2KU/Tutorial>Scrimmage>Pick team and arena.

You will love the performance there. I guarantee.

Oh, I know. Prior to this patch, when I was struggling to get smooth gameplay on minimum settings, I would occasionally go there to daydream and experience the eye candy/smooth animations.

What I'm experiencing now is particularly odd though, as the games would appear to be identical except for the fact that one is nominally accessed via the main menu while the other is accessed through MyLeague.
