The crowd is so damn dead in this game, even the last year version. Is there like any fix to this like damn it kinda kills the momentum sometimes.

This has been in a lot of threads on the main 2K16 board and there are no fixes.

2K's main guys won't even acknowledge it, which is weird as pretty much the whole community agrees the sounds are bad.

For a few moments they can be great...but then away they go and the golf claps return. I was the Mavs and my whole crowd was chanting defense...defense...defense...

    I got a stop.....

Went down and hit a three ball.

You would think the crowd would be going nuts? Nup. They had all sat down and went quiet.

Way too many moments like this suck the life out of the experince.

I am really hoping a modder makes a SFX mod...adds in real NBA crowd chants. That would be incredible. One or two posters over at the NLSC seem to have touched on the idea. Here is to hoping

      It's gets better in playoffs.

I do think they went a little to lax on Regular season.

I think some of this could be tied to teams "fan support"

I think you may be right there. Using Toronto the crowd is into it most of the way. Using the T Wolves I found the crowd to be barely awake.

I will add here also that playing this on a 5.1 or 7.1 system makes it MUCH better.

A lot of the crowd sounds are in the rear/ surround soeaks and get completely muffled out if you play the game in stereo only.

This has been the problem with games for years now. Just the nature of things, when you record in surround sound and some one plays it in stereo, it will sound very low for them.

I can confirm 2 years in a row, I have 2k15 and 2k16 for BOTH PC and PS4, crowd noise on PC is an absolute joke and 2K refuses to acknowledge it.

              Can you elaborate further?

I have it on PS4 and PC also...and, using rhe exact same setttings and sound system, the PS4 version is a lot louder and a lot more active.

I thought maybe it was just my PC audio, but other games like Fallout using the same test are loud on both systems.

The PC version does 'appear' to be a lot quieter.

                Yep Playoffs are definitely better.

Fan Support is a nice idea but the implementation is very bad.
Started MyLeague with the T-Wolves and got really good within 2 years. You'd think with guys like Wiggins and Towns making the playoffs for the first time in 15 years the fan support would increase. Nope...

                  depends on the team.
i think the crowd is an accurate representation of being at an arena.
the sound is very cavernous this year as opposed to last year.

in 2k15 crowds always seemed to be amped as opposed to this year.

the crowd does go through lulls though, but I think thats typical of an NBA game.
