Anyone know how to fix this? My gamepad works fine offline, but in Play Now Online it simply doesn't work. In Blacktop mode, it shows up as the second controller, so I'm a bit confused as to what is happening here. Any ideas?

It has to be connected before the game is being launched. If you disconnect it during gameplay, even for a millisecond, you won't be able to use it again. Legacy bug... -

What can be hard is remembering to move some sticks around every once in a while to keep controller awake, during what are often very long wait times for an RttP game. The worst is when it falls asleep and you don't notice until you get a game match you've waited forever for...and then have to quit, because you can't input controls.Comment

Thanks for the responses. It turns out my controllers were automatically going to the 2nd and 4th player ports, rather than first player. I had to disable some USB and bluetooth stuff in the device manager, now the controller is on input 1 and works fine.Comment
