G-Sync or V-Sync not working

Have my monitor capped to 72hz so the game should run at 72 fps; however it's running at 120+ fps. Turn vsync on in game or in control panel doesn't work either. Someone has this same issue?

If someone with a G-Sync monitor could tell me if it's working for him I would discard a game issue. BTW, my monitor is 144hz but I have it capped to 72 in Nvidia Control Panel. It seems that this cap is not working at all and the game tries to reach those 144 fps.

I have a GSYNC Monitor and it runs at 144FPS without VSYNC. Why would you want to cap your FPS? If you want to do that you can do it with MSI Afterburner or NvidiaInspector.

Make sure you are not using Double Buffering, so set BufferCount to 1!

I do that because temperatures are still pretty high over here and because 72 is more than enough for me . Could you please try to put your hz to 60 or so just to check if it limits your fps to 60?

Thats not how it works. Unless you use 60Hz + VSYNC it does not limit your FPS,

If you go higher than the monitor's limit with g-sync, you could get some screen tearing.

I have a gsync and it seems to work fine with it, but I have had to knock some settings down and limit the refresh rate to 60 to lock it without dropping any frames.

And the game never goes above 60 fps? If so I don't get what's going on with mine...
