Offline play only - stick with 2k17 or get 2k18

I only play offline, myleague etc. Not interested in Mycareer or any online modes. I have 2k17 but only played around with it for a few hours at launch last year, so not that familiar with it.

Is 2k18 worth the upgrade for offline play or should I just stick with 2k17 with updated mods/rosters etc.

Yeah i would say absolutely buy NBA 2K18, the gameplay is much smoother and much more realistic, also feels much more difficult and will take a good amount of time to perfect it.

If your using nlsc realistic roster plus slider set, it's pretty close right now. Most of the offline modes like my league and gm have bugs at the moment. Check the other section for issues with offline stuff.

It's different and touch more sim then previous but nothing out of this world different besides the online stuff.

It's still 2k basketball. Not a bad thing.

          If you're still interested in this - definitely 2K18 > 2K17.

          No question.

To me there were things wrong with 2K17 that were so wrong fundamentally that made it unplayable (offline).

2K18 has it's issues, but nothing game breaking that I've stumbled across thus far.

Purely opinion, but definitely a far superior game in all facets.

For that reason alone, I am having a lot more fun this year compared to the last couple.
Complete roster overhaul solves this issue.

Biggest challenge with 2k is finding out the formula which takes 8iah months. By that point the new game is near.

If we talking stick 2k17 vs 2k18 then easy answer is 2k18. Modded vs early no patch 2k18 different story.
