Looking at offline use on PC only...

I've asked on other places so forgive me if you've seen the post elsewhere, I just like tapping into the opinions on different sports game forums.

Looking only at offline exhibition and Season mode, is there really any difference between 2K12, 2K13, and 2K14? Any cool visual features, any outstanding elements? Also NBA player ratings don't really matter to me I'll be playing previous season mods. I really need to know about in-game elements only like fun presentation elements, cool stat tracking, etc. I'm trying out all three but I feel like unless I play each one for months I won't really know. So, just looking for info from those who have done all three and know them well but in offline mode, again, because I don't play online modes of any game whatsoever.

    Thanks for any help.

Why not 2K19? They all support offline play, obviously.

Because I'm asking about those three, that's all.

I have 2K12 and 2K14, 2K14 seems way ahead of the curve. currently in the midst of a MyCareer using a 2016-17 roster file on Xbox 360 (version is the same as PC)

I initially got back into NBA 2K when 2K16 was made free on PlayStation Plus. I later picked up NBA 2K14 for a few dollars and it had everything I loved about 2K16 and more. The immersion and stat tracking are incredible.

Cool, thanks. Yeah, I've also been pretty impressed with 2K14. But I have to admit the TV presentation of 2K19 on PC is unbelievable.

2K14 is probably the best option on PC. It is the most moddable 2K game.
If you do get the game, make sure you get the editor called REDMC.

You will be able to mod whatever you want

Personally, I do not like to play on a PC. I really like to play PS4 on a large TV.

Well that's great but that has nothing to do with the question. However since you brought it up, I play PC games on a large TV which for the average games not mastered for 4K eclipses PS4 in resolution and quality.

New to playing 2k on the PC, currently loving 2k19. I've always heard of the modding of 2k14 but never got around to exploring it. What exactly does 2k14 do better than 2k19, in terms of modding?

Me and a friend applied realistic information to all aspects of the game in yearly rosters from 1984 to this year. Ratings, tendencies, playbooks, cyberfaces, jerseys, arenas, everything.

Wasn't 2k14 on PC the last year on the "old generation" engine? I think 2k15 was when they updated the engine.
