Bad defensive placement on FT attempts
I just wanted to touch on a topic that has been bothering me for sometime now (quite a few years) regarding the Live series, and the placement of defensive players on FT attempts. Last night I'm playing the Heat w/ the wizards I have Arenas and Hughes at guards, and Hayes, Brown and my created player as the SF, PF, C respectively. Now why on earth would you put Jarvis Haves (6' 7" if my memory serves me correct) on the low block next to shaq and then my 7' C right next to shaq to box out the shooter. This problem has plagued the Live series for as long as I can remember (maybe even back to the 16-bit days) and it is very irritating. I have seen time where Gilbert Arenas is down there with the big guys to contest for the rebound on FT attempts. How hard can it be to fix this. Also I think they should add some more options for double teaming. FOr one they should take a page out of 2K's playbook and add a "in the paint" option (who wants to double team the other teams C if he gets the ball at the 3 pt. line?) and also one more thing that would be cool, if you could dictate who did the double teaming. It can get very irritating when you want to double down on shaq or whoever the other teams dominant low post guy is and the CPU sends some small @$$ guard to double down off the other teams best three point shooter, then he kicks it out and the guy drains the three. WHat do you guys think?Tags: None -
Re: Bad defensive placement on FT attempts
The third devinsive player (The farthest away from the hoop, that blocks out the shooter) is always the player that is matched up with the FT shooter in Live. That is way you will find your center out there.
