Re: Stopper and Full Game POTD!

Ok its CPU vs. CPU, but the point I was trying to make was that there were alot more fastbreaks in the other vids because it was 1p vs. 2p.

Go back and looks at the Pistons/Spurs vids. Player 1 would control the PG on defense making it easier for Player 2's PG to run up and down the court.

On todays vids, the CPU was controlling the defensive PG and you can clearly see the blocking over and over at half court.

        Deuce,

The first points of the game were off a fast break.

So in this game, there weren't enough fastbreaks you're saying?

If every other point was off a fast break, wouldn't you guys call it arcadey?

That might be true...but alot of things were jacked up on it...even larry brown was still coaching the Pistons...I hope they fix that...One thing I noticed about the commentary was they actually speak of the coaches by name...and give information about them..when there team is doing good or bad..

And I don't know about a slider adjustment that will stop the cpu from running backwards out of bounds and backcourting..it seems to be alot more frequent now..that I keep trying different teams..

I'll post pics just to show the graphics later tomorrow for everyone though...just to show how it will look on a normal t.v...I don't feel like moving my t.v in my room....don't have that kind of time..and its too big to pick up and carry.

The running out of bounds is a demo glitch, it wont be in the final game. I know EA is the devil and all but do you think that they would actually leave an obvious glitch like that in a final version of the game?

i'll be open minded and MAYBE purchase this game.

but I feel the same way every year. WHY should we deal with sliders from the get go.

I can see atleast 4 things that need to be changing within 5 minutes.

I probably wont get this game right away. maybe 2-3 months down the line when slider folks have done the tests and hopefully found the "ideal" settings. I just dont have the time anymore to deal with them from the getgo. it's just something that we shouldnt have to be dealing with.

TO glitch was literally just as bad and obvious, within an hour of play. (throwing in both "companies" here so it doesnt become a flamefest)

The TO glitch in 2k5 was fixed ala XBOX Live...with in 20 days...EA has never fixed one glitch or patched the issue...but we'll see...I just went and picked up some high def cables for my PS2 since the demo is on that version...So I can honestly give it the best look, before I take the pics...

And also show the details and deformaties..of the player models..

within 20 days of the game coming out?

                      is that what youre saying?

It seemed longer than 20 days. I bought, and then sold, and then rebought the game when the patch came out. It seemed more like 2 months. If you could possibly take screen shots of the playbook screen for many popular teams, to see if they differ. and maybe check to see if each team has different team playbook settings from default

I'll see if thats possible...but I'm sure they aren't current ...because its still playing off of 2005 rosters..unless they just didn't wait for current trades..this demo seems pretty f..king complete....Just cut off the options menus...but actual gameplay wise, its pretty complete.

What I am saying is that I play with the Nets and I try to their style. Since Live had and looks like it still has the PG blocking at halfcourt, it makes it near impossible to run that kind of style.
No way can you run an uptempo style like the Suns with the PG blocking you off at half court.

It may not be a big deal, and thats fine. But for me, that was my biggest problem with Live the last two years.

Live 06 looks like a roster update.

Shadows, try about 4 months...and even then, only after a LOT of complaint.

VC has become very much "who gives a f..." regarding customer complaints / bugs recently. Much the same way that EA always is...

Let's hope both improve, as treating customers with contempt is a trend that most other industries couldn't get away with the way video game copmpaines do...
