Looks good...I'm sure we'll be able to customise things so that teams run more specific plays.The key point is, plays *seem* to be in there...a screen play finally

yup, and you can see two of such screen plays in the rockets vs heat vid. nice!

Hmmm, maybe they're making it that the computer will realize who the highest rated offensive player is, and run plays directed to them. That would be good, though I'm not sure if that's what it is.

Anyways, it's good that they're realistic, and also that they have diagrams...

I've got big plans for this years NBA Live...

I pretty much exhausted the game last year and got so much out of it. I can't believe EA is doing something with the Playbooks this year. Last year I had to manually update the plays for each game.

But if this is true it cuts down on so much work I'll have to do this year.

i might be of some help here i too felt last years game got boring because of the fact you didnt need any strategy to play but ive played the demo and i could tell you you can run plays and they work very well if you havent you should read my review i posted it says it in more depth

I have XBOX but I get all more sports game for PS2 because I prefer the controller on that system for sports games.

Yea there is evidence of real play sets ..........on ign.com the new in game file of the Heat vs the Lakers you can see the Lakers runing the triangle offense" Scottie triangle" as Phil would say.....Live is looking very good this year

You got a link for those vids? I went to ign.com and didn't see any of those vids with the heat vs lakers.

you have to be an 'ign insider' to see them..its in the masterbit theater or something like that. too bad im not an insider...

I just watched it and there is some evidence of the triangle being run. Alot of times though the offense is scattered and its just one on one bball. I dont know if its CPU vs CPU or human vs CPU. That stupid aspect where they shoot the ball from the baseline and it goes out of bounds behind the basket is still there. Also Mihm took a 3, and there was still 5 on the shot clock. Shaq didnt do much, infact he strayed behind the 3 point line alot. Maybe he was waiting to screen, but it didnt seem like it. When he got the ball his back down was good but he tried passing and threw it away. Some good things, and some bad. I will watch the Piston video later.
