I took pics of every shoe in the game. If you can't see them, then they aren't there.

CPU VS CPU - Seen some screens, post plays for Duncan, fastbreaks ending in a three on the wing and a lot (maybe too much) driving for contact/changed layups.

I'll upload a CPU VS CPU in a few minutes.

I didn't play 2005 'much' but it seems to be better.

By the way, something interesting here.

First pic... a supposed real in game shot shown on IGN or somewhere. This show super hi-res jersey textures.

Next pic... my game screen, with settings on 100% maximum and same with my video card (best possible card out there) driver settings on max.
The textures are much, much lower quality.

It could be... the hi-res pic was of Xbox which perhaps looks different, or EA 'forgot' to activate the hi res textures in the PC version. Is it true double res textures were in the 2005 PC folders but not used?

not saying your card sucks, but I can run nbalive 2005 looking like that at full high res. with my crappy 64mb geforce 440... I swear EA doesnt try to fully utilize its graphics. They are all just direct ports with various changes. Just imagine 3x or 4x graphic textures or shoe textures... Last year they made 2x textures and those were amazing. A small step up, but still amazing.

and when I say they, i mean the patchers on the various sites... and not EA

antistropic was on, but yeah AA was off.

Tried it now and it just smooths the edges (obviously) and does nothing to improve the texture.

Really, we should make a HUGE deal about this. This is typical EA at their best, lying and false advertising. As with every year they say it's a whole new engine and yada yada, showing super hi res textures in the screens which are NOT what you get in game. This was one reason I got the game because I thought it looked like those IGN shots. EA you lying pr!cks.

admiral, wait 2 weeks and the guys at the live boards will make some kick *** jersey textures... some even 2X.... its sad when a few guys can make better jerseys in 10 days than a whole crew of guys with the best computers and resouerces EVER, in 3 months of work
