I think real playbooks is a big upgrade in comparison to last year, and if everything is smoother with improved control, I don't see what their is to complain about. Both games this year are improved versions of the previous year, just with some making more changes than others.

From the vids, it does look a lot smoother, and the off-ball movement is great on offense, I saw a play with Nazr coming to screen for Manu, and then dunking also screening for Parker who curled around and then shot a jumper, that was nice. It's very good

Gomes isnt in the game, and if McKie is still on the lakers and earl watson is unsigned, I doubt Dickau is on the C's...

I didn't play 2005 'much' but it seems to be better.

By the way, something interesting here.

First pic... a supposed real in game shot shown on IGN or somewhere. This show super hi-res jersey textures.

Next pic... my game screen, with settings on 100% maximum and same with my video card (best possible card out there) driver settings on max.
The textures are much, much lower quality.

It could be... the hi-res pic was of Xbox which perhaps looks different, or EA 'forgot' to activate the hi res textures in the PC version. Is it true double res textures were in the 2005 PC folders but not used?

Take a look.

They didnt use the double res in 2005 so i think its the same this year. In a few weeks im sure someone will make a double res mod for the game.

I noticed that two. Last years game wasn't that bad. Alot of guys are complaining saying that its the same game with just some tweaks here and there. Will if the above tweaks would have been in last years game we would have had the best bball game hands down. So there wasn't alot to be done this year but the above things. You don't need to revamp the game from scratch every year you just need to fix the stuff that is bad from previous years. I think we are in for a great bball game this year.

They didnt put in a good amount of rookies, Wizards' Andray Blatche, Salim Stoudamire for the hawks etc..

Yes, you're right, and in addition to that, I don't know how to spell, I typed dunking instead of Duncan, how stupid. That's what happens when you're typing later in the night.

The sliding doesn't really affect the gameplay, it just takes away realisim from the game, I agree. If you look at 2K though, for some reason this year their's also a lot of sliding on defense, doesn't really affect your play, but looks dumb.

I also agree with the passing, Live has those one hand baseball passes, and 2K has guys doing two handed overhead passes to someone standing 2 feet away from them.

Both games being fairly good now just gives up a LOT of hope for Next Gen though....
