Re: Player Ratings at IGN
Why is everybody b1tching about Nash when you get the game he will be dominant. He was one of the better point guards last year with his speed, passing, and shooting ability. I expect no less in 2006.Comment

i agree... i'd make him maybe a 93.. the guy plays injured all the time and puts up great numbers... i dono if he was liking the system he was in last yr.. teams double team him like crazy since they dont have another scorer.. maybe this yr tho if webber regains form
also, nash should easily be 89-90.... marion should be at most an 84-85, j-rich should be 83, bdavis an 86 TOPS, and joe john.. WOW... i would honestly have him at 78-79, TOPS 80.. wtf is ea thinking... a DECENT season and an 89 rating.... wow, over ratedPSN: Peji911Comment

Originally posted by Rasco11Let alone the fact that according to EA, Steve Nash must have been the 4th best Sun!?!? OK!?!? He was the freakin MVP and main reason for their turnaround. How do you put Joe Johnson (an above average player) ahead of him? If they have Iverson up there, then Nash shouldn't be too far behind! At least barely ahead, or right behind Jason Kidd? That's straight messed up!Comment

Originally posted by Rasco11By the way, this is just a random prediction, but I think Chris Bosh is absolutely going to blowup this year!
Being a Raps fan, he has to. I'll except no less than 20 and 10 from him this year. Regardless, we'll be lucky if we win 35 games this year. We suck.
I'm sorry, but it's a complete joke that Steve Nash isn't in the top 25. How the hell can Starbury we be ranked higher than Nash? You've got to be kidding. I know Nash is a defensive liability, but it's hard to argue that he isn't the top PG in the NBA. I would expect that he'll have the highest passer rating in the game.Last edited by Kujo; 09-21-2005, 01:53 PM.Comment

Baron will always have a high rating because versatile players get priority in the game. Baron's normal output when playing 38-40 MPG is: 18-21+ PPG, 4 RPG, 7-8 APG, about 2 SPG, then he also has a 40+ inch vertical, and is the other really good dunking PG along with Francis, so he get's a lot higher dunk rating than 80% of the other PG's. From his individual ratings, his shooting is too high, that could bring him down 1-2, but his dribble and stamina are lower, which when adjusted would put him at about the same spot.
Joe Johnson and J-Rich were overatted. J-Rich can't defend, and is a weak ball handler for a PG, and Joe Johnson got about 30 more ratings points on his steal rating than he should've. They should go down after updates, Joe Johnson to about 80, and J-Rich 83 ish.
Marion you can't hate on, he's a "role player superstar". He's not a #1 option, but when you can score 19-21 PPG, grab 9-10+ RPG, get 2-3 APG, 2+ SPG, 1.3+ BPG, play good man to man defense, and are out of the most athletic players in the league, well, it should'nt be a surprise. He puts up the same numbers scoring and rebounding wise as most of the very good big men, then in addition to that is vastly quicker, faster, jumps higher than all, is one of the best thief's in the league, and block shots like a PF.
I would expect that he'll have the highest passer rating in the game.
That is my exact sentiment on these ratings. Steve Nash the MVP last year not in the top 25, I am sorry but there ratings are completely messed up. Yao Ming as it stands is very up and downish, Nash was very consistent all year long. Then you add players like Joe Johnson who is good but ahead of Nash??? I just found that one to be really surprising. I was most definitely expecting him to be there.Comment
