Patch thread

Criticized the patching in the past for not being good enough and also not being able to change gameplay features but now that I am happy with the game of 2006 I think it's worth trying to make it look better in any way possible. Some nice potential I think.

Sweaty jersey project, 76ers jersey, Spurs court...

And people (me too ) said Live didn't look good?!

The quality of your PC (gfx card) has a lot to do with it though and mines good so I reckon it looks great.

I'm sorry, it still doesn't look good. It's good that they are trying but it still looks like a mediocre remake of 2k's graphics.

I agree, bruce looks like a thug who doesn't take care of his acne.

but graphics don't make a game, gameplay does. So I'll see what potential this game has this week, along with 2k6.

On topic, patches would be cool for the pc version. I'm sure there many people making mods and stuff for it.

I know what you mean. I criticized Live patching in the past yet now what am I doing?

Still, I think 90% of the patches do nothing and aren't really making the game better, just different but yeah it's been fun to play around. Looks crap up close but it does make a difference in the gameplay camera's when you see stuff better than the low res and dull EA defaults.

I do respect patches on the real cause it brings a lot to the table. I'm into computer games. More into RTS rather than sports or RPG on the computer, and those patches do a hell of a job for making the games better. If I had a top of the line computer, I'd be into the patches and stuff for Live. Never hating. It's darn good that you guys do things like that. Good hobby to get into and you reap the benefits.

Apparantly Madden and EA's baseball have been modded to add new camera angles, so that's some awesome stuff there. Just a pity they can't do it for Live.

A pity also we can't get rid of the courtside announcer...
