If you listen to half these guy's you'll never enjoy any sports video game. Just take the games for what they are worth and play them for enjoyment because they aren't ever going to be perfect regardless of how many guy's want to make one product better then the other.
All Sports games have flaws. Stick around if you get Live though because the beauty of it is that you can make it a very good game with sliders. It won't be perfect but hey it can still be damn good....NCAA FOOTBALL 14 ALUMNI LEGENDS CPU vs CPU DYNASTY THREAD

Re: Is the ice skating thing annoying?
Depends.
Its an eyesore, and I wish they could build a fluid engine without it...but being that it's an animation(visual) issue vs a gameplay issue I can get around it. While skating has always been an issue, Live has monumental strengths (control variety, collision detection) which balance the negatives, IMO.
F'rinstance...the "bump back" animation sends the defender skating backwards like he's moonwalking.
Fugly.
However, what happens when you bump a guy off in real life? He falls backwards right? So while its ugly, the "bump back" interaction is a still a fairly accurate depiction of what's supposed happen, even tho it isn't a very pretty depiction. Personally, I can live with that.
Its one of those things that's completely in the "eye of the beholder"..."annoying" is subjective.Last edited by HMcCoy; 09-26-2005, 11:30 PM.Hank's Custom Collectibles 3D printer/painter extraordinaireComment

Nancy Kerrigan and Tonya Harding are in the free agents pool. Tonya's got a sick crossover.Comment

It's not that bothersome, you get used to it after a while.Comment
