It is the simplest way to put it. For those that are having trouble without going into a 3 page letter about how to play the real game of bball. Besides pumping up the level does help alot of times. People may not know that superstar this year is playable from a standpoint of no magic a.i catching up on breaks and things of that nature. So with playmakers edits and bumping up the level you may have a fix. However with that said nothing will fix it for you, because all you have to say about this game is bad. Oh you might throw a good thing in here and there, but its always followed with 2 or 3 things negative. Quite frankly I think you are starting to tick alot of people off with your negativity.

I have to agree to a certain extent.

I don't mind anyone criticizing EA or Live when it's warranted, however, repeating the same point of Live not being geared towards being a sim, no perfection out of the box or slanted towards arcade is getting a bit old.

I think the point has already been taken.

Like Sirjam said, one step forward, two steps backward. If that's your take, that's fine, but to keep repeating it like a broken record serves what purpose for you and everyone else?

I would think if EA trolls the boards, they have seen the post.

Thanks man. The fact is both games have something to offer, but I will never sit and down one game over another. I want people to make up their own minds. I could care less which game people choose. I just don't want someone to read a statement that is not true and decide based on that. Live can be a great game with sim qualities with the right tweaks. Basically using playmakers sliders and formulas. I think alot of people for some reason or another just don't want to believe it.

Chris Kaman just got 20 Rebounds and 10 ORB over Dwight Howard. he is rated 73. Plus every 55 rated CPU player gets 4 ORB a game? No slider can adjust this. The fact is that last year the ORB was broken. They tried to fix it but went the wrong way. I am not looking for perfection. I just want ratings to decide stats. That is the point to having a high rated PF with great Rebound ratings. the fact that kaman can out jump him because of a bug is a huge mistake. I don't mind if Garnett or Duncan destry me on the boards but i can't stand the CPU jumping over the back to get the rebound on the boards. it seems as if there is a "crash boards" setting set too high for the CPU. I have always been a big live fan. i actually may go back to 2004.

Two words that sum up the exact experience that I am having when playing Live 06:

I'm actually having quite good Rebounding stats with PM sliders.

Not to beat a dead horse, but Im having the same orb problems also, I tried alot of things ... nothing seems to counter-act it ... but by all means this game is still good but if that somehow gets fixed it would make it that much more better.

The problem with adjusting to Superstar is that its a double-edged sword, it may have fixed a problem, but it also creates another problem like alley-oops not sinking *cough*Marion missing an open alley-oop from Nash on a fastbreak*cough*

I don't get to much of that. I just played with the Rockets vs Suns and I threw about 5 all game and connected on 4 of them.

Fellas...dont know if this will help but i was having the same fustrations with the ORB, after playing a few game i notice that you have to use the box out button...this have decrase the ORB significantly for me...save the game for me this is not to say the cpu won't get its fair share..and i have my user def rb at 90.....hpe this helps.

they're talking about the players they're controlling getting too many offensive rebounds. i could agree that it's an easy one to fix by not going for the rebound. that's actually the easiest fix for a problem that anyone could think of. the problem is this doesn't fly when you're playing other people or online. i know my boys aren't as concerned about learning the ends and out as me so this'll probably be an advantage i end up having over them and of course that's fine with me. but i don't think i'll ever play this online unless it's with a small group of people.
