Wow, the hype on this game has died down substantially, well maybe next year!

Originally posted by KBomberSorry, should have said Jordan vs Bird. It was the precursor to Live and doesn't change the fact that EA had dunk contests in their games years ago
Have fun...........

Man.... I just hope they don't start fooling around with NCAA Football, as that's pretty much the only EA title I but regularly.Comment

Re: XBOX 360 version no dynasty/franchise mode
It seems EA is rushing their next gen sports titles as Tiger Woods is going to have less courses and pros compared to the current systems. If they are going to put less things in then maybe they should reduce the price of the games. To me things should not be taken out and if they cannot deliver a game that is finished then maybe they should have held off till next year as I think most people would have preferred that instead having their cup half full. To me a next gen title should be superior not inferior compared to the current systems."If you don't have anything good to say, say it often"- Ed the sockComment

Re: XBOX 360 version no dynasty/franchise mode
Live looks solid especially on the new gamespot trailer, but you are still better off to get eith NBA 2K6 for 360 or Live if you prefer on the PS2/Xbox, just being honest. They have stripped this game down to the BARE ESSENTIALS!Comment

My point was that Joe Gamer isn't going to be playing multiple seasons, so they won't care that franchise mode is missing. Sports gamers may buy a new game every year, but most of us still put in multiple seasons and thus care deeply about franchise mode. Sports gamers are the minority, thus my point in my original post.Comment

Re: XBOX 360 version no dynasty/franchise mode
[QUOTE=solutions]Bulls vs Blazers was horrible. It was So slow. I might be wrong but I have all the old NBA lives on the PS1 and I don't remember a dunk contest. But I really don't care about that.Look I grew up on EA sports. You can say I was a fanboy I use to think people were way too hard on EA and so easy on VC and in some ways I still do.
I think the game with the dunk contest was NBA All-Star Challenge. Remember the initial Live, or what became it? NBA Showdown. Finally, you didn't have a game that was just 16 playoff teams. After more than eight years on here, I finally figured out how to edit my time zone!Comment

Originally posted by candyman56Bulls vs. Blazers came out in 1992 and NBA Showdown came out in 1994. Those were some great basketball games back in the day. I will never forget how excited and pumped up I was when I bought Showdown on release day. I wish these game companies would take us back to the good old days when they released games that were excellent all around.
NBA showdown was hawt, i was so pissed when they completely changed the game the next yearComment
