Why are there no automatic replays? Only when you play does an option come up to press a replay button, but only when you do something good (sometimes the CPU actually does things deserving of a replay too.) This means if I watch a CPU vs. CPU game, there are no replays. I never heard of this.
I was also sad to see that the player intros had been scrapped. But wait, they're just scrapped in exhibition mode. They are there in season mode. Phew! Even something as unimpressive as player intros that remain UNCHANGED from last year are like a nugget of gold in this game.
There is the cutscene for timeouts and for the end of the quarter, but those are also the same as last year. And they are the only cutscenes available What gives?!
Then they claim that they now have players showing "emotion." But it's always the same two animations, one of which you've seen 18 times if you've played a full game: the player waving his arms back and forth across his chest as if to say "no way, not in here." But even in the middle of that, they cut into it with the huge flashing logo and all of a sudden the player is on the line or inbounding the ball. Why not let some drama develop?
And don't even let me get started on The Slam Dunk Contest Commentary. Kenny Smith in the SAME breath about the SAME dunk, "That dunk wasn't too impressive. I've seen that before. That was the greatest dunk ever! Give it a 10!" You gotta be kidding me, right?
There are other things too but I'm tired of typing.
Man, if it wasn't for the multi-user season option, I'd think this game was bone dry of options and presentation.
I'm not asking for halftime highlights, sideline reporters or refrences in the middle of the game to the team's standings during my season. But this really sucks.
