    Freestyle Superstar

This is for everyone that has been playing Live since 1994. Do you guys remember back when guys like Jordan, Pippen, Olajuwan, SHAQ, Drexler, Mourning, Kidd and the main superstar(s) on a team played like themselves and were really good as opposed to their teammates. You knew to whom the ball should be dished to if you needed to score some easy points.

I feel when the series came over to the PS1 that it lost this unique aspect of the game. Everyone on your team played the same regardless. This carried over to the PS2/XBOX. Your bench played like the superstars to a certain degree.

Does the FREESTYLE SUPERSTAR work exactly like how the main superstars were back in the 90’s LIVE series? Or is this a gimmick?

I have played a little bit of LIVE06 using PLAYMAKERS sliders and the game plays much better than out of the box. Since I don’t own the game, I really wasn’t able to give it the time that others have to see if the FS works like the golden days of LIVE.

Over the course of a franchise, if a player’s skills diminish do they lose some of the FS attributes since there’s the PLAYER EVOLUTION?

Well let's just with Dirk I can kill guy's even at 7'0 shooting jumpers. But with Dampier I can hit jack outside the paint. Samething with say a guy like Paul Pierce at SF compared to Bruce Bowen. Pierce will get you buckets yet Bowen will struggle.

It appears than that this is something that I was looking for in LIVE. Again, I only had played a few games on the PS2 when I borrowed it from a friends so I wasn't able to get comfy with the game.

I am considering getting this. I prepayed the X360 version already.

rip hamilton sux in this game i cant really figure that one out. He cant hit a mid range jump shot. And he could be one of the greatest of all times at that. Right with Marovich and Miller.

            I completely agree.

After playing so many games now I realized that if you start lowering the shooting ranges down too low and Poor Release percentage it will severly take the mid range game out of play because guy's like Hamilton will shoot like crap if you screw those sliders up.

That's why i went back up close to normal in ranges and now I see Hamilton killing me off screens with mid range jumpers. Also, Ray Allen and Kobe are great on mid range shooting aslong as you don't hinder them by messing up the shooting sliders too low.
