NBA Live 06 Review (Xbox 360)

We have just posted our NBA Live 06 review. Find out what Aaron Holbert has to say about it.
"I can only describe this game with one word - frustrating - and not for the reasons you might think. The game is frustrating because it does a few things well, but those are essentially rendered useless because the game is missing so many needed features. That said, while playing this game, it’s impossible to shake the feeling that this game could have been really good if EA would have put some effort into anything other then the graphics."

Very nice review Aaron. I'll be looking for this in the bargain bin sometime soon to try it out.

So the next gen version has less features & more gameplay problems but it's 10.00 more? Graphics can only go so far?

You guys are 100% right it isn't worth 60 more like $25, but i have to say less features and all i'm enjoyin Live 06 for the 360. I expect much greatness next yr, and beyond though. I dont wanna support EA if they keep giving half hearted work. This is the last time i do that.

Very good point there. The game isn't perfect, but it is an absolutely great foundation to build upon. This game "Could" be special, and I'm hoping that EA puts its resources to work, and makes this game as good as it could be.

Yes, Yes, Yes, lets just wait for next year..... Same old broken record for EA. But hey, there is always next year, right?

Actually, the 360 version has taken a huge step in the right direction. The foundation is there finally...much, much more so than any of the previous LIVE's.

The game could be an amazing NBA SIM soon...everything is in place.

              Whether that occurs...who knows.

After the bad reviews the "slower" pace / lack of arcade features like the dunk competition etc got...EA may come back in 2007 with a total arcade game.

I hardly saw a review that mentioned the MUCH imrpoved play calling and coaching aspects...yet every review seemed to say "don't buy it, there's no dunk contest".

Playcalling / coaching or dunk contests... ...what sells more?

The fact they did work on the playcalling and improved it a TONNE for the 360 is a huge step in a SIM direction.

I hope they continue down that track...

I have my doubts though after all the negative reviews.
