Playing on the Road in the 4th quarter!!!

Playing the Cpu AI at their home has No Mercy on me, especially in the 4th quarter! I mean U better bring Ur A game because the Cpu in the 4th quarter will run U to the end!! Not in a Cheesey way but in a good old butt-whipping way!! Whether U are in the Lead or not, the Cpu AI is coming and coming Hard with defense, Fastbreaks, and my favorite Half court sets offenses!! All in the 4th quarter!!!! To me it's seems the Cpu plays harder in the 4th quarter!!!

PS: When I played on the default settings I normally beat the Cpu by a landslide!!, But when I move the settings to All-Star and messed with the Sliders a little bit(waiting on PM) I've gotten some good realistic games and Stats!!!

I feel you on the All-Star setting. I was killing on default, but now, it's a great game every time. I just got blown out at home by the Nets ( I was Cleveland). I am having an absolute blast w/ this game after adjusting some sliders. Last game, there was only 6 blocks for me, and 4 blocks for them. I think everything can be rectified w/ sliders. Also, speed isn't a problem on 90. I feel that is plenty fast enough.

Glad Ur enjoying the game!! The Nets got me too!! in a close game though!! The speed is not that bad! only the players looked like they're slo-jogging instead of constant running!!!

Its a shame because of all the bad reviews by sites that obviously didn't spend much time with the game, that guys are missing out on the game. I am having alot of fun with this game. Can't wait till PM gets some sliders going so I can start a season. I am playing on superstar and it is very tough to win on the road or home, but its never a since of cheating by the cpu.

FF, I'm using the default camera zoomed in 3 notches I believe. I can't remember at the present, but it's not too bad of a view. It does have some hiccups which shows that this game apparently isn't a finished product.

Overall though, this game is a whole lot of fun to play after some slider adjustments. At first, I didn't know if I'd like it or not, because it was a dunk fest, but after some slider adjustments, that is no more.

a couple of questions for you guys, I just got the xbox360 last night, my uncle snuck one out of his toys r us for me i downloaded the demo, how do u campare the demo to the real version?, also wut slider adjustments and camera options work best? thanks

What's up fellas?

I got my system in the mail today FINALLY! I'm going to be hammering away on this and Madden for the next 2-3 days. I should post a good base set of sliders by the middle of next week but I'm not going to rush anything because I need to figure out a lot of things with this Next Gen version. Previously I've played more head to head with friends and that doesn't translate to Human vs CPU play.

I will be messing with camera angles, shooting sliders, game speed, and playbooks. Those are the building blocks that get this game off the ground. The camera's can be tricky but I will list atleast 2-3 views that can give solid results. Right now I'm addicted to the Press Cam but it might not be for everyone. I know that I've mentioned how much I love the fastbreaks in this game already but the open court is in this Live is damn near perfect. Player tendencies you can see have been well done by EA in that aspect. Kobe and LeBron will look to take off and feel a lane quickly on you if you don't get back defensively.

Teams will run plays but what I'm going to shoot for is more player movement within the offense. EA has done such a good job with spacing that it will allow me to create Playbooks that will force the human player to hold up defensively while the CPU moves the ball around the perimeter. I'm also going to mess with defensive playbooks on this system version aswell. For some reason EA thinks teams don't run Zones, Traps and Pressure defenses. That's the beauty of the customizable playbooks they have now included for the first time ever in Live. I can design playbooks and team tendencies that can be saved now and taken into a season.

Let me also say that the arenas and atmosphere are great additions aswell. You can feel how lively things become throughout a game and it really picks up late in the 4th qtr's of close games. Also I had to creat a few guy's for my Dallas controlled team which is something I"ve never done on the current Gen system's and I must say the detail is flat out sick. I was going to create 1-2 great players from each teams past and take them into a season with that team after seeing this feature. I did a test player creation of Kareem Abdul Jabbar with his skinny legs and goggles and the player module from face to body looked freakin scary realistic. I still might do that for my own personal use but that is just one way of finally customizing this game the way you like.


I should have sliders up before we head into the X-Mas weekend....

It's official! Da Guru is Back!! Glad U got Ur 360 Playmakers! Now we are going to get some real basketball games with Live, and some real football with Madden!! I'll to that all day!!

Playmakers, do you know if you can change the playbooks for other teams in dynasty mode for PC? The only way I've been able to do it is by taking control of the other team and changing in game. I can't find the option to change playbooks outside of the in-game menu...

I was the same...when I first played it, there was one game where it was just dunks non stop / end to end and I was pretty frustrated. I came *very* close to just giving up on it.

I am really, really glad I stuck with it as I'm enjoying it more than I have any game for ages now. Once we settle on a slider set + play sets...it's going to be even better.

Yes you can. They posted a thread over at NBALIVEFORUMS.Com with my 06 playbooks and it shows how to save playbooks for the PC over there.
