Am I Missing Something????

I have both 2k6 and Live for 360, had 2k6 first but people were having fun with Live and I didnt want to be left out. Everyone keeps saying Live looks amazing on HD, unless I am missing something I think 2k6 looks better. Live looks good and there is more attention to the arenas but Im lost because I dont think it looks better. I play on 720p,do I have to up it to 1080 or is it only my opinion that 2k6 looks better?

Merely your opinion. That's all everything is. In my opinion, NBA Live looks better, and plays better. However, 2K6 is no slouch whatsoever. It's all personal preference anyway.

The arena's and atmospheres, in my opinion, is what makes Live better visually.

I have not tried Live yet, but do want to.. However I am turned off by the fact that there is no franchise option.. I hope to rent it this weekend..

I would have to say Nba live does look much better than 2k6, I had both games and my tv shows in 1080i you will see so much more with this setting. However I got tired of both games becuase in my opinion they are not that good.

I returned both games and sent my xbox 360 to my cousin in florida. Just not enough games yet, so I can wait.

The game play for Nba live is flat out terrible for the xbox360. I did like 2k6 but trying to learn the controls was pretty difficult.

If you are into visuals then Nba live is what your looking for, but if you want real gameplay then 2k6 is where it's at.

I'm currently playing live on my regular xbox and having a great time.

Sent your 360 to your cuz, dang man I'm not letting mine go as hard as it was to get one. I find it hard to look at anything after seeing the 360, more games are coming soon....real soon. Anyway I still would say if you're into visuals 2k6 but if your into stadiums Live.

I like the way it looks too, and yes I have HD also, there would be no reason to have a 360 without HD. Just my opnion though on the 2k6 looking better, I've been a Live fan for years so I wish I was playing it on my 360. With the broadcast cam and vivid look of 2k6 its pretty amazing, maybe if Live had a broadcast cam?

I agree.. Live's camera's are a bit of a downfall... but it still looks great on the Press came 6/8 view I believe. If it had a broadcast cam, it would be absolutely amazing. I hope they are able to bring back the stadium specific sounds that they used to have (Like when Arco had the cowbell, stadiums chanting for MVP candidates, etc.).

I do like Live and am hyped to see whats in store next year. Like you said stadium specific sounds should be there, anything current gen has or had should be in next gen including about 100 things more
I also would love to see a good cam angle in a Live game finally,I'm sick of the angles they've had.

The only way to really get the best play out of the broadcast camera is by using the Player Lock Feature and selecting the PG to control. Basically it brings out the best realism IMO becuase all of your other teammates are functioning on their own AI and ratings. That means your big men have to stop Shaq, Duncan or Garnett on their own for the entire game. But that feature makes you really call plays on both offense and defense.

The Baseline cam is playable at 10/5 or 9/6 aswell.
