Not trying to point out stupid stuff but

WTF is that? No offense Will.......

Are them braids or tattoos? I'm loss. Looks pretty good on the HD though. I guess both games came up a little short in their respective departments. I have 2K and they sure could use the upgrade of the stadiums. It looks like they used the engine from the hockey rink but cut out the glass and put the floor on. Has that circle thing. I don't know if that's in the games but it's kind of irritating since it's in most stadiums. Definitely planning on renting Live if I can find a freaking copy to rent. Might just end up buying it eventually though since prices are sinking slowly on eBay.

Why the hell does that guy have black lines on his head? Those cant be braids.

No offense taken luv_mist :y4: That is my pet peeve about the CAP of this years Live... there are no good hairstyles. No fade's to give Pippen, etc. and the braids/cornrows suck.

I wouldnt say the the WHOLE CAP sucks but only the hairstyles. I think the CAP is kinda too too deep, why have all the options to change noses and cheeks but give me crappy camera angles?

Actually, my CAP looks like me a lil but my hair doesnt have them big *** 747 runways.

I could only wonder. Now, if only VC would step up their CAP like they use to have. I wonder why they removed so much so far? I mean, I could see endless possibilities to the CAP feature in that game. I do have to admit that EA has one hell of a CAP cause you can make almost any player you want. They have the tools set up. Think about what will be in there for next year. I can see the potential right now. Them braids are hilarious though. I feel like putting that joint on my desktop. Sucks cause both companies have those little things that the other one could really use.......

That is a weird effect behind the player. Reminds me of the Matrix.

Will, can you tell me what makes Live a better game than 2K6? I couldn't stand that camera, unless you guys figured a way around that.

Thats what I wanna know too. When I started this thread I was talking graphics only but sure I'd like to know what I'm missing in terms of gameplay also. I still have my copy of Live........collecting dust but I'd like to play it.

                    Re: Am I Missing Something????

Guys, I can't persuade anyone here, nor would I want to. Play what you think is the most fun, or the best game. There are quite a few elements of Live this year that, after a few initial tweaks, that I am just absolutely loving. 2K6 is an awesome game, but I had my experience ruined this year due to a couple of things I saw. I'm not going to name those things, because chances are if you haven't seen them, then you're doing just fine.

Live plays a totally different game than 2K6 does. After PM's playbooks, etc... the game plays one heck of a great draw and kick game, which is a lot of what the NBA game is. The spacing is nearly perfect, which is one thing that absolutely stands out to me. The atmosphere/arena's make this game immersing for me.

But like I said... play what game you like, not what others like.

Well at least your being honest and not playing fanboy and spend time your whole post bashing. But all that aside I feel u have a secret that I want u to share when it comes to live. Arenas yes, I agree....what else besides spacing? Issues on 2k6 are......? Trust me I have mine when it comes to that game, even more so since I've been playing on line.

It plays less stiff than 2k6, you can swing the ball around to get open shots, unconvential players like Dirk play better, and more.

Highlight... here is a PM that I sent a few guys regarding why I was playing Live more...

Well, actually, there were quite a few things that just irritated me about 2K6. This coming from a man who has defended 2K through the past few years. Current Gen was great, although it did have it's flaws, and Next Gen is even better.

With that said, the things in Live are not really gameplay things so to speak... but they really immerse you into the game. The crowd reaction is excellent, and each and every stadium is so well done. In my lakers season, I enjoy each and every game because I look forward to seeing the stadiums, and the lighting. It may not be much, but it adds a whole lot in my eyes.

There are player specific shots, which also add to the realism, and overall, I think the graphics are a tad bit better. This is no knock on 2K though, because the graphics in either title are insane.

The gameplay, after Playmakers edits, are great in my opinion. It is quiet a bit slower, and some of the animations are "meh", but the rest of it is money. If you liked Inside Drive, chances are, that you'll like this game. It reminds me so much of ID, and I think that's partially the reason I'm playing it as much as I am.

Last, after playing through about 35-40 games of 2K in my Association, every game started to feel scripted. I knew when the CPU was going to go on it's run, but there was nothing I could do to stop it. I have video evidence of quite a few flaws that totally ruined the game for me... but you may not see them.. therefor I'd hate to even bring them up.

Yeah I agree the games do kinda feel scripted even more so when clutch factor is on. I did play a game of Live earlier and it's not bad, it's just I'd like for it to be better. I also have pm's sliders saved but not the playsets yet, all this work to make the game better I feel is crazy insane.

Oh, I agree completely. It is pretty sad that you have to tweak the game like crazy to make it play right. But after you do it, you get a completely different basketball experience I feel. Definately worth the time and effort.

I agree its worth the time but at the same time people get paid for doing what we have to do. We pay 60 bucks for the game and still have work to do when we get the game home. Oh well.
