    how to stop fast break?

OK, I bought this game for the second time after hearing about Playmakers All Star Sliders(definitely makes the game playable). I haven't won a game yet, as it seems I get beat back on the fast break a lot.

Do you have to set each teams fast break settings before each game(i.e crash boards or not)

Also, I also notice running the plays makes a lot of difference, but I seem to get beat off the dribble a lot also.(i.e. Arenas vs. Payton) how do I adjust this?

I belive on his sliders he just said put crash boards all the way up for the cpu thats it. But the only way i saw the fast breaks slow down is using his Ratings for each player AND the sliders that go with it. I guess it has something to do with the speed for each player maybe?.... not sure

Play with the Game speed slider set at 45 or 60 first.

Take control of the CPU team first-(Before the tip off)

Use the Press Camera View Height-10/Zoom-5

Leave the CPU FAST BREAK SLIDER at DEFAULT (don't move it) and set their CRASH BOARD SLIDER to it's highest settings.

ASSIGN HIGH PRESSURE DEFENSE TO ALL PLAYERS

SWITCH THE CONTROLLER OVER TO THE HUMAN PLAYER

Set the HUMAN FAST BREAK SLIDER at it's lowest settings and also set the HUMAN CRASH BOARD SLIDER at it's lowest settings.

USE THE GLOBAL PLAYER RATINGS I ASSIGNED-(This is the most important part or else they'll fast break no matter what you do.)

If your getting beat off the dribble raise these slider until you get better:

HUMAN FAKEOUT DISCIPLINE-75 (This makes your players go for less fakes)
HUMAN ON BALL DEFENSIVE ASSIST-100 (This helps you stay in front of your man better)

do you have to tweak the fast break/crash boards settings during the game for each team or can you do that somewhere in the settings to load it automatically?

        thanks

It's already at DEFAULT for each team when you load up a game.

The Playbooks save once you input them for all teams then start up a season. They will already be setup for you.

The Global rosters are very important because it balances out the game on offense and defense. The rosters force the players to actually run the plays each team is assigned and it makes the CPU utilize their best scorer's even their ELITE PF's and C's. My 1st set of rosters I released a few months ago didn't reduce the offensive awareness and shooting ratings of the players enough. This latest set has dropped them down even further yet they play more realistic as crazy as that might sound.

I put the CPU CRASH BOARDS SLIDER maxed out because it makes the BIG's attack the glass more and guy's like Ben Wallace can kill you on the offensive boards.

I leave their FAST BREAK SLIDER at DEFAULT because it seperates running teams from UPTEMPO teams.

For example Play Utah, Toronto or Houston and watch them slow the game down. Play Dallas, Phoenix or Sacramneto and they will push the tempo alot more. I also noticed that once you move that slider from DEFAULT basically every team will try to run which makes me believe EA intended for it to be at DEFAULT to seperate the teams style of play. We never realized this at the beggining because the game was too heavely in favor of offense and every guy was rated too damn high in Offensive Awareness and too low in Defensive awareness.

As for Human I set both of those sliders to it's lowest settings because it makes your players get back on defense quicker and it also stops the Human players from crashing the Offensive Glass on every possession. Basically it allows the CPU team to get a few more offensive rebounds vs you to make the game a little more competive on All-Star Level.
