Re: NBA Community Day Recap
wow. that looks pretty useful
I hope rivalries can be created and broken
This looks like a ESPN dynasty mode specific feature. im glad we dont only see that stuff for real life events.
Lighting looks really bright and nba like. with madden, they seem to have gotten that down perfectly for artifical and natural light
Current gen still doesnt have much emotion, non the less. game looks to have added a ton of franchise stuff from an already fun mode.
it looks like ill be buying both this year.Comment

Re: NBA Community Day Recap
I haven't bought Live since 2004 BUT after reading that I might consider taking a look at it. The last 2 NBA Lives have been ok BUT the NBA 2K games the last two years have been solid, compared to it's lack luster 2004 version. That's why I got Live in 2004 because NBA 2K4 was crap. Now it looks like both games might be solid.
THIS IS WHY WE DON'T NEED EXCLUSIVE LICENSING DEALS! Cause the only people it hurts are the consumers. If Live performs the way the recap stated AND NBA 2K continues to be a solid title then it's basketball heaven for everybody. Competition produces solid games.I have more respect for a man who let's me know where he stands, even if he's wrong. Than the one who comes up like an angel and is nothing but a devil. - Malcolm XComment

Re: NBA Community Day Recap
I was extremely pleased to notice that the comeback logic has been done away with and replaced by the Intensity feature. The CPU will remain challenging in a close game and play an intelligent game but its players won't gain superhuman abilities while users find their players missing easy shots and open dunks. The Intensity will build throughout the game if it remains close and will drop if a team is getting blown out. When the Intensity is low there will be fewer interceptions and looser defense so if a team's being beaten convincingly you won't see as many unbelievable comebacks.
The Intensity Meter will go from blue to red as intensity increases. In Playoff games and Rivalry matchups the intensity will be at a higher level to begin with. When selecting teams there is a graphic that will be displayed if two teams with an established rivalry are selected. The crowd logic is also tied into the intensity and will react much more intelligently to the action as well as being noticeably more hyped for a game that features two rivals.Comment

This is only for Simulated games.
I was hoping we could use tie this in with the Auto Sub feature. I still love the concept but I would like to control the CPU's rotation percentages as well.

Re: NBA Community Day Recap
Originally posted by OfizzleYea, I'm not sure why Lebron has inside scoring, and I know outside stopper get's related to steals, but Lebron is not a good defender, let alone a stopper.
There needs to be a court vision for steals and amazing passing ability.. a sub group of a playmaker.. outside stopper is bruce bowen and only bruce bowenComment
