It's Time for BBALL games to catch up

    Here's a link to NHL 07 gameplay footage. http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/sports/nhl07/media.html

At the very beginning of Gameplay Movie #3 the player is skating at full speed and to keep control of the puck he is sending it out ahead of himself and catching up to it (you know the you would in real life). That's the same way you dribble a basketball at full speed. With the exception of maybe Jason Kidd, if you are dribbling the ball on a break at full speed you throw it a step ahead and catch up, not simply dribble faster. That's why in real life pulling off dazzling moves on a break is done by the select few because ball control at high speeds is much harder due to your body momentum and backspin on the ball.

Since we haven't seen any gameplay vids of 2K7 or Live yet I may be preaching to the choir; but if not, VC and EA Canada (Live Team) need to remove the speed dribbling that currently passes for what happens on fast breaks and take a good hard look at what SHOULD be done with ball physics.

The devs insist that they are old code (including the recent posting at gametrailers). Where have YOU been?

However you have clearly stated that absolutely NO gameplay videos have been shown from either game, when regardless old/new, we have NBA 2K7 gameplay videos of next gen.

If the devs claim that the vids shown are not representative of gameplay then the vids are inconsequential. If the the game is supposedly going to look markedly different from those vids (as Rob Jones and several other devs claim) with new footwork which is clearly not in those vids then why would I be taking them into consideration?

But if you'd rather argue for agruement's sake then fine.

Don't put words in my mouth. I never said "absolutely NO gameplay videos". Please make your point w/o embellishment. If you disagree fine, I expect people to disagree, but exaggeration discredits you. If I said, "Man 2K games aint showin' me nothin!". Does that mean that 2K hasn't released any pics, vids, or info? Obviously not. It would mean I'm just unimpressed
